Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

In the last 10 seconds, Jesse Mendez gets a takedown to beat undefeated Pedster Beau Bartlett 4-1 to win a B1G Title!!

:ohioflag:
I freaking caught some air celebrating that one! Jesse just chain wrestled for a whole minute, that switch double was brilliant...I would say pure effort, but the technique was incredible and kids should be taking notes. Constantly changing his center and guess what, that works at the highest level.

Psyched and he was all about business afterwards. On to a title. Also, Jesse...

Also, Rocco beating Kennedy and Turley to take 3rd? That kid is no joke, I see Kollin Moore but with somehow a more nasty demeanor. No slight to Kollin, Rocco is just a bad dude.

Also, gotta give my Graham Falcons some love. 23rd straight state title today. Rings in the air, the legacy lives on.

But to keep it on track, in my mind there are three guys we have to get to OSU from Ohio. First is Marcus Blaze... just destroyed everyone in his path at State...telling you now if you don't already know, he's the next elite wrestler and #1 P4P. We have to keep him in Ohio, and I mean like Teddy Ginn in football recruiting...it's seriously that important. Wherever he goes, I see 3-4 national titles. I know that seems bold, but I've watched enough wrestling to know this kid is the next big thing.

Another is Michael Boyle. Bishop Watterson. Freshman at 165, just dominated the field and that's so tough at his weight. If he keeps progressing, he's going to be the next 4x title winner and likely the best national guy at his weight as a soph.

I'm sandwiching this in here as to not end on a down note...Jaxon Joy from Wadsworth is going to be a star at Cornell. That's one I think we'll regret not bringing in.

Third is Grey Burnett, he's legit. I just don't know what weight. He's just a freshman, so we have to wait awhile to see where he ends up...but he's going to be really good no matter what. And Perrysburg is a school that Tom Ryan better have a VIP access to, tons of talent there right now.

Finally, a big congrats to Ethan Birden, a Buckeye commit that won a title 4-3 in the finals today. Dublin Coffman kid that I have a feeling will make some noise here.
