This Friday & Saturday, the top-ranked Ohio State women's ice hockey team – fresh off a two-game sweep over No. 4 Minnesota Duluth – hosts No. 2 Minnesota at the OSU Ice Rink! Tickets are free for all ages.
The #1 ranked women got a good 2-1 road win at #8 Minn-Duluth earlier today. That’s the same team they beat in the Championship game last year, and that arena is where the Frozen Four will be this season.
Here's a different promotion: Skate with the Buckeyes!!! Join the team for a postgame skate on Saturday, Jan. 28 following the game vs. Minnesota State Bring your own skates, or rent a pair for free!
Buckeyes win 4-1, and Sophie Jaques knocks down a hat trick. Should have probably been about 8-1, but the Bemidji goalie was outstanding. Buckeyes threw 44 shots at her, and she only gave up 3 (4th point was empty net). Doubt she can do that three nights in a row, so we should move on to the next round robin....am I wrong, Dude.
Great win. Sucks that the #1 seed has to play Minny on their home ice, but that's just the way it is being stuck in a Minnesota-centric conference. I'd love to see the Michigan schools get programs going, so we could have a BTWHC.
Held onto the #1 seed. Yale is the #4 in our bracket. Minny is the #2. It'll be a big upset if the Buckeyes and Gophers don't have a rematch for the national championship.
