Interesting that this petite 5'7 .. 146 lb...
is Minnesota's all-time leader with 139 career goals, including a record 40 power-play goals
scored the game-winning goal in the 2000 national championship win over Brown (Minnesota would win 4–2) and earned all-tournament honors with three goals and an assist in two games. For the season, Muzerall scored 49 goals, 28 assists and 77 points. Her 49 goals led the nation, power-play goals (16), power-play points (27) and game-winning goals (9). Her 49 goals sit atop the Minnesota season record book. In a 10–0 win over Bemidji State, Muzerall set school records with five goals and seven points. During the season, Muzerall went on a 20-game point streak, earned First Team All-WCHA and Minnesota team most valuable player honors.
finished her career first in goals (139), goals-per-game (1.08), power-play goals (40) and shots (726), third in points (235), fourth in plus/minus (+149), fifth in shorthanded goals (4) and sixth in assists (96)
became an assistant coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey team. She would capture Frozen Four titles in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016.

Can't even pretend I have ever watched a women's hockey game, but obviously root for all Buckeyes sports and wanted up pop in to say congrats. Job well done.

NADINE MUZERALL’S BELIEF THAT OHIO STATE WOMEN’S HOCKEY COULD WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP COMES TO FRUITION
Ohio State had never won more than 20 games in a season before Muzerall’s arrival, nor had it ever even made the NCAA Tournament. But Muzerall, who was previously an assistant coach at her alma mater Minnesota, came to Columbus with a belief that she could transform the Buckeyes into a national championship contender.
“I remember my husband, who was a Big Ten football player (at Minnesota), he said ‘Are you out of your mind?’ This is the Ohio State, it doesn't get any bigger than this,’ and I just remember me saying like, ‘Well, their hockey team’s not very good,’” Muzerall said. “And he said, ‘We'll change that. And you have the resources to do that and the people supporting you.’”
Five-and-a-half years later, Muzerall’s vision came to full fruition on Sunday when Ohio State defeated Minnesota Duluth, 3-2, to win the Buckeyes’ first-ever national championship. And she said that felt just as good as she imagined it would.
“Yeah, it sure does,” Muzerall said with a laugh after Sunday’s win. “This is something that's forever, that can never be taken from these young ladies. And I mean, of course they're enjoying this moment, but it's one of those things when you come back 15 years later with your kids or as you get older, and just the amount of pride that you left a legacy.”

Going into this season, Muzerall believed her program was ready to take the next step and go all the way, and she wasn’t afraid to share that with everyone in the athletic department before the season even began.
“We were laughing on the plane, at the beginning of the year, Muz in front of the whole, all of athletics had said, ‘We're gonna win a national championship this year,’” Ohio State forward Clair DeGeorge said after the team’s arrival back in Columbus on Sunday night. “So we look back at that now and realizing that we actually made that come true, it's huge.”

“She believed in us all year, she pushed us all year and we knew what we were fighting for and what we were going for, and she just brought this confidence to us that we needed in order to win today,” Hauswirth said. “She's pretty intense, but in the best way possible and the best coach I've ever had in my life, and I'm sure everybody would say the same thing.”

If I remember correctly, an announcer stated the team added 8 players from the portal this year

It's not like women's basketball where there is a huge drop in talent and skill from the men. Women's hockey isn't much different than watching the men.

Going to lose a lot to graduation but they have a lot in the cupboard too. More transfers is likely, hopefully.

It might not be as bad as it looks. These 7 seniors have only played 4 years; with the extra year for COVID, they could come back for a 5th year if they wanted to:

Just sayin': Staying a 5th year to actually graduate and/or get a Masters Degree, and win another NCAA Championship may not be a bad option so some (or all) of them.

Certainly there is a possibility for greatness to continue. I wasn't sure about how willing some of them might be to going pro because I honestly have no idea just how many opportunities there are for that. I'd love them all to stay because they are fun to watch. That and 2 in a row would be instant legend status for Muzerall

JMHO, The Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) currently only has 6 teams, is kind of "shaky", and doesn't pay real well:

Hell, if the Seniors get a post graduate (i.e. Masters) degree, they're probably going to make more than twice that in year and actually have a life long career.
