Bestbuck, not entirely certain he's 'lost' this team. tOSU women are talented, but not THAT talented. McDuff's press is working, but certainly not the level of Jacy et al. Jalone is a treasure, simply put. Elsa is maturing in her play, and Kennedy has shown great talent. The other two guards, certainly can chip in the 3-pointers, and do. Don't believe Kitt has fully recovered, her feet aren't as quick, and her 'nose for the ball' is missing. Haven't seen Hobbs in a while, more as a breather for Elsa. Gotta admit, when stats came out, was surprised that tOSU had a 15-0 run to put the game away.....guessed was napping during that. Great win, and while not glad the USC player (Ju Ju?) was out, because then USC would have killed the Buckeyes. So, say what you will about McDuff, the Buckeyes don't come back like that unless they're being led. Jaloni seems to be a leader by actions, rather than one who chats up the players. Maybe Katie is providing some of the coaching?

You make some valid points and what may be lacking is the on floor leadership but it's hard to tell. When you're following a legend like Jacy, everything is inferior, right? Lol

The comeback honestly surprised me considering how that game was going. Also could be some rust with that weird ass schedule. Maybe the B1G Tourney will tighten everything up? They've committed a lot more turnovers lately but that could also be rising competition. All I know is we get this win against ttun, I'll forgive everything I've said about McGuff lately. Just lately though, :sneaky:

Big win today fueled by awesome long range gunning (program record 18 3s), but there were some stretches of mind numbingly stupid play (most notably repeatedly dribbling into turnovers against the press and forcing telegraphed passes into double teams). They are what we think they are, but when they compete on the boards (they did today) and Elsa’s aggressive and not getting hosed with b.s. foul calls, they’re a threat to anyone except the handful of truly elite teams. Kitts was horrific again, and it seems like we’re unlikely to get anything out of her this season as she tries to get back to pre-injury form.
