Lady Bucks lead Sparty 29-17 after 1st quarter. They've forced 11, that's right 11, turnovers already. Finished the quarter with a 10-0 run. And all this without Jacy who is still in a walking boot.

Damn she has to get healed up for the conference run. This years team though has more depth than any time I can remember. Let's Go Ladies!!

Ladies lead 42-32 at the half. Didn't shoot well (except for layups) but still with a double digit lead. They have now forced 16 TOs. The announcer said they are forcing 28 TOs per game. Unbelievable. They are fun to watch with the way they play defense.

Ladies looked a little ragged in the 3rd. Lead by 5 (59-54) but can't hit a jump shot. Seems like over half their points are layups, both contested and uncontested. And they need to hit shots to set up their press.

A very ugly 4th quarter but the Ladies hold on for a 74-68 win. Move to 10-0, 2-0 in conference.

Too soon old, too late smart
Thiery has become my favorite on the Lady Bucks. Plays with energy, seems to fill the holes, and is a big guard. Almost a swing 3. Jacy needs to get back (obviously) to provide the continuous spark to the O and the D. Greene is doing a fantastic job at the point, seems (to me at least) not to have dropped off from two years ago, and the extra year of basketball maturity makes her a better on court leader. This new freshman provides a spark on offense, but needs to pick up her defense quite a bit. The make-up of this team appears to be special. We'll see how much so when the grind of the B10 season is upon them. Looking forward to the Indiana- tOSU WBB comes along. It'll be a barnburner.

Too soon old, too late smart
Back in the day, talked to a guy who played 'shooting guard'. He was a 50% shooter, so when he missed his first ten shots, he said he knew that he'd make his next ten. I agree that a shooter has to keep popping them, knowing that they'll eventually drop.
