Virginia Tech - 35
Ohio State - 21
Ohio State - 21
The Virginia Tech Hokies came in to The Shoe Saturday night and walked out with ending the 25 regular season game winning streak & Ohio State's 15 game home winning streak. A great game plan by the Virginia Tech staff left many Buckeye fans scratching their heads with the lack of in-game adjustments by the Buckeye staff. Not all the blame goes towards the staff though, as the Buckeyes didn't help themselves with multiple miscues in every facet of the game. After trailing 21-7 at the half, the Buckeyes battled back to tie the game at 21 early in the 4th quarter on an Ezekiel Elliott 15 yard run. That score would be the last for the Buckeyes, as more misuses would lead to more points for the Hokies, resulting in a 35-21 victory for the visitors.
Where do the Bucks go from here? Do they pick their heads up and march forward? Or do things get ugly quickly? Thankfully, the 0-2 Golden Flashes of Kent State come to Columbus next Saturday.
Despite the loss, there were some bright spots for the Buckeyes last night. It may be tough, but who gets your vote for Offensive & Defensive players of the game?
