Game Thread Ohio State vs. Tulsa, 09/10/16 @ 3:30p ET, ABC/WatchESPN

Defense was amazing today

1.hardly any missed tackles

2. 6 turnovers created! Hooker I will say it... best safety I've seen since Ed Reed.

3. Defensive front really closed the lanes rushing wise. I mean collapsed the LOS on every run. Big props to Landers he was outstanding.

4. Linebackers filled hard and did just as well in coverage. Baker played basically all game, worely was everywhere, and of course Raekwon was so stout.

5. Offensive line -protected JT well. Only gave up the one sack albeit a bad one. I thought the run blocking was fine we just didn't call a good game. Too much zone read and not enough outside sweep.

6. WR- DROPPED PASSES and at the worst time. On 3rd down if JT is going to drill you in the chest you need to catch it. All around in thought it was a poor effort today. As good as they were last week they were equally as bad today. The best WR threats continue to be Wilson and Samuel which I consider RB then anything.

7. Overall not bad. Defense looks better then expected and the offense seems to need to find some consistency. Next week the WR need to play better or we don't wineed.

It is now 11 September in Africa. My father slipped into a coma 15 minutes before the first plane hit the World Trade Center, and he died hours later. It took me weeks to get into the US to bury him and, when I saw him in the refrigerator, he had deteriorated so badly that I only recognized his hands and wedding ring.

Dad was a WWII Army veteran. I and my son both served in the Army. He loved Ohio State football and basketball. He loved the University. He was a man of great principle, outstanding human decency, and determination to succeed despite his poor upbringing.

One of my favorite memories is taking my Dad to his last Ohio State game in the Shoe and watching this disabled man cling to every second of the game on a rainy day just like today.

This is a good win and a good time to remember the values and principles enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution, which so many have died defending.

Let us remember all of those who have gone before us and especially those who died on that day fifteen years ago or in serving the country in its aftermath. May God be with them all and with you. Good night.

Well said my friend
