Two terrible fouls by Mahaffey. I don’t care if you don’t think one was a foul. At that point in the game you don’t put yourself in that position. Not once but twice in the last thirty seconds.
It appears that many players aren’t getting it on defense. They are collapsing too fast and too much on help D thus leaving the 3 pt shooters wide open. That’s the same problem CH’s teams had.…a loss of rotation and floor integrity. Teams with good guards like Pitt will exploit this everytime.I didn't have a chance to watch most of it yet, but I heard Diebler in postgame interview saying at the end guys were doing things that they were being coached NOT to do. Well, clearly Coach you've got to instill more discipline in the players. OSU can't have guys committing fouls that they shouldn't be - that's on you as a coach for not wanting it and still letting it happen. It's been a constant in recent years, and certainly with this team, excessive fouls that hurt OSU and give the opponent extra free throws (and by extension, extra points). Diebler absolutely has got to coach more discipline for this team to cut down fouling and giving away free points for little reason.
Peacock cut out on us at the end and I couldn't watch the end (turns out fortunately), but I am sick of network apps picking up sporting events and not being able to deliver. And it was not my internet, everything else was working fine. So frustrating.Coulnd't watch it was on stupid peacock and forgot it was even on so I just looked at score and play by play that is one awful loss.
UP 4 with 10 seconds left and lose. Got to make your FT's which OSU did not down the stretch.
Inexplicable loss.
