Easily Amused by the Bitterly Disappointed
On the positive side, one of those two SEC teams is going to lose the CCG. Not sure about Wiscy. They had to play without their fullback and their 1 and 2 RBs, and in the wind tunnel that is Memorial Stadium. Still, I would not be surpised if Michigan beat them in Madison. History. There's nothing on the West Coast. The Big 12 will likely be decided this weekend, cause Iowa State aint beating anyone in a CCG in Dallas.
But Notre Dame will get all the TV votes - and maybe they deserve it, a one point loss to undefeated Georgia in their home opener, total blowouts of USC and a decent NCSU. Their only remaining test will be on the road to a Stanford team that was pounded by USC and struggled against Oregon State. Count on no one in the media north of the Mason - Dixon line to question ND's bonafides for fear of backlash.
Yeah, if Whisky goes to the Big Ten Championship and loses to the Bucks, it won’t matter. I will personally guarantee that the Buckeyes are a lock if they win out. If they lose from here on out, they’re out of the CFP convo.
Honestly, all the CFP talk is business as usual. Bama plays GA, Bucks play the Badgers. Win and in.
Regardless, all I’m thinking about is this huge win, JT Barrett silencing the doubters, and beating Iowa in a tough environment on the road next Saturday. The rest will sort itself out if Ohio State takes care of business.
