Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

And besides, UTEP had an All-American guard who will play in the NFL and that's how UTEP was able to gain success, albeit it was minimal, running the ball against OU during that first drive. Then Mike Stoops buckled them down and made some adjustments.
Behind one guy? You really need to trade in your "impact players" approach to football.

It's more likely that UTEP had a quality scripted drive before OU adjusted, settled in and talent won out.

Are Hubbard and Bosa (and Lewis and Holmes, and fuck, let's go ahead and include Cooper and Young) fast enough to get around Orlando Brown?

Ummm.... in a word?

Yes.

Especially as the game wears long, because while Brown is surely a good one, facing relentless pressure from fresh legs all game long isn't going to be easy for him.
Trust me, Big O can handle ANYTHING but easy. He has never been more ready to play in the NFL than this year, especially when you take into account his father played for the Ravens and the Browns back in the day.

More like OU was a bit rattled early on, but quick adjustments helped them take over the game. In the first game of the season, it's always hard to not be nervous especially early on. But I like what I saw from them in that game and that leads me enough to believe they'll have a MUCH BETTER performance against the Buckeyes this time around.

Now could the Buckeyes win this game and even repeat the same result as last year? Well yes, it wouldn't even surprise me in the least if they did. But the only difference this time is they will play a much more motivated and determined Sooner squad, and they will have MUCH more respect for you guys than last year now that they know who you are.

I see. He's impervious to fatigue because he's as ready for the NFL as he's ever been.... and.. his dad played for the Ravens and Browns. Got it.

Just watched your first drive. Utep didn't have any running room before the final two long runs. They ran behind Hernandez a lot and had very little space, in fact almost every carry was hit at the LOS or behind, but the back powered through.

It broke open when they brought in an extra OL, OU aligned accordingly but they ran away from their formation strength and gashed OU for 17. Then they ran inside for an easy TD.

Well it was pretty much the same offensive line that paved the way for Aaron Jones last year. The Buckeyes will have better success running the football no doubt, but I would bet Kelly and Steven Parker would lay the big hit and knock the ball loose one time. Dobbins, who's only a freshman, might be prone to coughing it up if he gets whacked by a Sooner defender.

Why do you think shit like this is relevant, but results from last year with the same parts (our DLine vs your OLine) or legit NFL departures from your team aren't relevant? WOW....his dad played in the NFL?!?!?! Surely that gives him a leg up.

Dude. Orlando Brown's dad played in the NFL. Nick Bosa is clearly fucked.

Between the (like Kansas dline) shit talking from players and some borderline delusional spew from RC, I'm more than ready to see the good guys roll the sooners Saturday night.

I do believe this years OU squad is plenty motivated to come in and play well in the Shoe. Hell, OU may pull it off and get the win. What I'm also certain of is that what I think or want to happen means jack fucking shit in regards to the actual outcome of this game.

Unless you're suiting up for one of these teams you have an opinion and that's it. I'm really happy there's some conversation going on with an opposing fan in this thread...It has been pretty entertaining.

I was just hoping for more intelligent banter from the OU fan base.

Carry on.
