If Ohio state shows a certain look on a play they always do the exact same thing. The option is always the pitch. If Samuel goes in motion it's a swing pass. There is no progression to the plays. The same look has to have variable outcomes and it doesn't so the defense just plays option fucking one. It's maddening.

It looks like they're still running the shell of a spring practice playbook and haven't installed anything else since. Either they're not practicing anything else or are completely unconfident in themselves to run different plays. That, combined with a compressed field due to not being able to throw the ball over 15 yards and you have the 2003 offense.
