Game Thread Ohio State vs Michigan State, 11/11/17 @ 12:00 ET (FOX)

Why does it seem like there is still no discussion of looking at the Targeting rule?

It's crazy how essentially EVERYONE hates the rule and yet seems nothing is even going to be looked at. They need to distinguish between incidental contact and head-hunting. At the very least they need to review it and if it looks incidental, treat it like basketball. Flagrant 1 is a warning and 15 yd penalty, flagrant 2 is automatic ejection like they have.

True but JT is usually very conservative with his passing. I don't think we can ask him to be a gunslinger and be successful. He was in the Penn State game but that doesn't mean he should always be.

It's a coaching decision. I've harped on about it all year, since I believed JT could make the throws but was being held back by needlessly conservative playcalling (Urban emphasizes avoiding turnovers).

Based on last week and this week, the coaches might have had a reason to be conservative.
