LOL.... I seriously thought Ontario was straight up sarcasm.
I have 10 hours today to figure this out at work. I've found some good prices out of Orlando (however, then it's a MUST we go back to Orlando). Will check Sarasota, St Pete, etc as well today. I don't know why, but it seems as if no TPA airline wants to fly to California.
We don't mind flying into another airport .... husband wants to fly to Vegas, but I feel like that's a trip all in itself.
(However, if I did find myself at the Westgate for a night, can I use the Upset Game "money" to bet on a bowl games? Or is it just for this website? FFS, she still hasn't figured this out yet?!).
Unless it's within a 2 hour drive (or 3ish w/traffic), I'm not returning the car to the same airport (which just eliminates Vegas). Therefore a one-way drop-off fee. Not sure if there's a way to book (and pay) for our car w/my points for something like that. Hertz/Thrifty farmed out their customer service overseas and trained them to do only the basics. So, if you have a question that's even remotely complicated, it takes 4x as long.
I used to book flights from NY-DC so if you put in New York, the program would just automatically include all 3. I'm guessing this is not the case for LA (but I was so thank you).
Again, appreciate your help so much. Anyone going who's still looking for lodging I highly recommend AirBnB. There's still tons of places in LA to stay for reasonable rates. The best part of Airbnb is you get a kitchen which allows you to save money on lunch or whatever. Just me but I wouldn't rent a just a room. Our chances, we'd get UW fans taking the other room. We've got a house before and it was a great experience. Unless you're tied to Pasadena, I think it's much better than a hotel. Most times, you get better accommodations. Then again, you could get randomly killed since there's no "staff."
So far for us no loss of life, yet.
