San Diego is 3-4 hours away from North LA in traffic. 2.5 hours away when not.

Be careful taking that route. If you get in from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. you're in for a world of craziness on the 405.

Thanks for the tip. Been to LA on business a crap ton of times. But never San Diego. Hell.... I just hope we can get there. It's honestly the one thing holding me back. We aren't flying out of Columbus. We are in FL. I'm guessing theyve added a few more flights in Ohio.

If we do go to San Diego perhaps we might stay a night. In your opinion is it worth it? Im big on research and feel like I have fallen behind. Never would have thought about doing this if Urb was staying, it wasn't the Rose bowl, my dad's passing.

EDIT: Oh dear lord I have to be up in 3 and a half hours. Hope I did the right thing..... I already saw the flights and know theyve gone up.... Again sorry for the drama. But I feel like you should expect it from me by now. Can't decide on a damn thing. Just wait until I start posting Airbnbs.....lol

Yeah....I'm not figuring people will be flying in the day of the game, so it's not a big deal to land, get the rental car, and head north.

@MaxBuck thank you for that idea too. We don't mind at all staying the night and checking out a different city. My husband desperately wants us to fly into Vegas. Somehow it's the most expensive of them all. But, maybe not Orlando.

Again, I know this board is mostly for the game itself, so I'm sorry for posting so much but when I went to "tickets & travel" the last post was from 2015. LOL. You guys have been very helpful. Can't guarantee I won't come back. But, if we do go, perhaps I may be able to pay it forward in the form of tips or discounts. I used to book travel & housing for actors in DC so I'm pretty good w. research.

@Fungo Squiggly are you going to the game this year? I want to know because I feel like I'd def recognize you by your profile pic. :dance:

I am not going to be there this year. I drove right past the Rose Bowl yesterday afternoon headed from Palm Springs to Ventura, but after a 10-day vacation to SoCal followed by a 5-day trip to Michigan next week and tax season getting fired up in janaury, I just can't justify it. :lol:

@UrbanBuckeye you might check out Burbank as well. I flew into LA a few years ago and the price into Burbank was significantly less than LAX. Burbank is north of LA, as is Pasadena. Of course, in as much as Burbank is pretty much right there with respect to Pasadena, maybe this is the one time a year it's expensive. Anyway, thought I'd suggest the option.

Burbank (aka Bob Hope Airport) is a lot closer to Pasadena than is Ontario or LAX...in fact it's only about 10 miles from the Rose Bowl as the crow flies. Hell, LAX is just as close to Pasadena is as Ontario Airport, if not closer.

My youngest flew into Bob Hope Airport twice for Christmas the last couple of years...nice airport and she was able to get her baggage pretty quickly.

It’s a damn fine looking shirt. My problem with Nike tees is when it shows up, the fit/shape is all out of whack. I’ve got them off center, slanted, etc...The last tee I got was this...

I got the short sleeve and the middle graphic was damn near diagonal. Definitely not up and down like it should have been. I got it from Dicks online, not some janky knock off site, either. And then the sleeves are always one side different than the other. I can’t explain it but they’re just, different.

I hope you have better luck with yours. I really do like the shirt. I may go and try to find a decent one in a store rather than risking the online purchase. That way I can see if it has any defects before getting it.

I've had that issue before as well, with the decal not being where it should be lol. Here's hoping this one is ok lol.

Really looking forward to this game and UW is a solid matchup regardless of their 3 loss record. Hasn’t quite sunken in that it’s Urbs last game. Back-to-back games playing teams donning shades of purple in their unies and 3rd time this season. Useless factoid.

I’m optimistic that our early draft enrollees all play in this game for Urban and they send him off a winner. I’m legit surprised the line has been around 5-6. Seems like a 10-12 point line based on how the bucks have started clicking and this being the finale effect for Urbs. Take care of business and we’ll finish this year 13-1, soul crushing defeat over TSUN and another win at PSU, top 10 finish and momentum heading into next year! I expect a 3 TD+ victory for the good guys. Life is good my friends.
