Game Thread Ohio State v Northwestern B1G Championship, @ Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN 12/1/18 8PM, FOX

Blah, blah, blah...

Oklahoma has been getting a pass all year for their historically horrible defense and lost to the team that Maryland beat.

Ohio State just blasted what the committee themselves called “the best defense in the nation” without so much as a nod to Bama or anyone else, then turns around and puts Oklahoma in front after looking like pure ass all season on defense and blasting the worst “defenses” in college football... and defenses happens to be in quotes because it’s nonexistent in that conference.

OU should be looking up at Ohio State, I don’t give a shit what anyone says.

Fact is, I just don’t care as much because tsun was ape-raped and left for dead by Ohio State, so I’ll take it... but anyone making excuses for OU being at the #6 spot after that beatdown on #4 is out of their damn mind. I thought them being in front of Ohio State was a joke BEFORE this past weekend... now? It’s an outrage. The agenda is real.

Purdue would lay the backhand to most of the teams in that clown conference.

At least the committee isn't being subtle about it. And this is why I detested the idea on sight of a tiny group of people making this decision.

There should be a way to set up an elimination series between all conference champions + one independent. Figure out a way to rotate the match-ups so the same conferences don't play each other every time. Having a committee is like having the refs decide a game--it's supposed to be the guys wearing the uniforms who determine that outcome, nobody else.

And why are we waiting for the outcomes of four CCGs to determine the final four? Why isn’t Norte Dame forced to play Clemson to get in? There aren’t enough head to head battles between the top half of each conference to have a realistic comparison,,especially when two conferences refuse to play ooc games outside the South or Jerry’s place. Blends in with ORD’s talk on U Chicago. Why does Norte Dame get a legacy entrance to the playoffs?

They're not a part of either division in the ACC. They're a tag-along to that conference, and nothing more.

NW is quirky enough on offense to make this one interesting if the offense isn't clicking like it did.

Yep. NW's offense is bad, but it still worries me given how much OSU has struggled against similar offenses. They don't have the athletes of a Purdue/Maryland/Indiana, but they can still control the ball and force OSU into gambles if they get impatient. The defense needs to play downhill and get negative plays and turnovers to make up for any big plays they give up, and the offense needs to remain efficient and explosive so they can build on a lead.

How does ND's ACC scheduling work anyway?

I have heard it mentioned, I wouldn't be surprised if the committee did move ND to the #4 line and move either OU/OSU up to 3 to penalize them for having the one less data point and have them face the #1 seed in semi's. Put pressure on them to join a conference and play in a CCG. It forced the Big 12 to do something.

Yeah, but DAMN! U of Chicago! The only college with a negative acceptance rate! (lol)

Only if you are from the US. Foreign governments receive priority. There are literally a negative number of US citizens on campus in Hyde Park. Booth is literally the only exception to this rule.
