I agree with Lesmerises. The only way we are getting in is if the Texas Longsnitches win.

I'm not even mad about it. I feel the same way I did last year. Once you lose to an average team by 30 you just removed for yourself any benefit of the doubt.
Yep. That blowout loss to Purdue was infuriating on MANY levels

Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey.

Are the nerds U of Chicago?

I'm not even worried about it.

The loss to Purdue was damning to be sure, but struggling against Minnesota, Indiana, Nebraska and giving up 51 to Maryland piled on top of the Purdue loss paints a very ugly picture of who tOSU really is this season. Win Saturday and enjoy the Rose Bowl!
Giving up 40 to Kansas is infinitely worse than giving up 51 to Maryland. And how is struggling with Minnesota, Indiana, or Nebraska any worse than OU getting taken to OT by Army, struggling with a .sub 500 Texas Tech team and a .500 Okie State team?

This is splitting hairs. Kansas was 3-9 and Maryland was 5-7, 40 pts, 51 pts, not really statistically relevant, IMHO.

Now, this carries more weight. It is hard to dis Army, however. They are 9-2 with 1 game remaining vs 3-9 Navy. They also beat a 10-2 U of Buffalo team 42-13 on the road.

That basically leaves OU with 2 crappy games vs Conference opponents vs OSU's 3 crappy games vs Conference opponents. Setting my homerism aside, I have to go with Oklahoma.

In addition, let's look at non-conference games.

Oregon State stunk up the place by finishing 2-10
Our supposed *big* out of conference opponent TCU fizzled finishing 6-6
Tulane finished a surprising 6-6 as well

Choklahomo's 3 out-of-conference games were:

Against the aforementioned Army (9-2, soon to be 10-2)
Florida Atlantic (won 63-14) finishing 5-7
UCLA (won 49-21 and it wasn't that close) finishing 3-9

A wash in my opinion. I think OU's resume is stronger. Not by a lot, but if they beat Texas in a rematch, they would have reason to howl if OSU leapfrogs them.

Saying 9-2 or 10-2 in front of Army and Buffalo doesn't change them from being Army and Buffalo.
