"If I get the chance, I'm kicking the field goal."
One of the most idiotic decisions I've ever witnessed.
As Deace mentioned in his SI blog, Michigan averaged a preposterous 9 yards per play against the #1 defense in the country in the first half and still trailed by 12 points!Michigan started fast, but Ohio State was faster all game long and by the fourth quarter it was blow out time.
Can’t lie, I respect thisAnother beating. Scar tissue ripped open. Every waking day throughout the year I think of how we can beat Ohio. We have lost every game 15 years in a row. 2011 does not count. Each loss comes with a different type of pain - last year was the worst. This year I feel less shattered. Bitterly disappointed... yes. I Got what I expected from Dobbins. Fields played better than I thought he would. Ohio’s defense did it as much as I thought they would. Michigan defense was horrendous. I was absolutely shocked at some of the dumb penalties Michigan took today. That adds to my bitterness.
Ohio are legit - but in the playoffs your pass defense better have adjusted - so I do not have to hear about how great the SEC is.
I stand by my statement that Ohio millennial’s do not and cannot understand this rivalry. Until you are crushed and dragged through the Mire of defeat - and see the other school standing on your field singing their anthem - you can never understand the rivalry. To truly understand it - you need to suffer the pain of defeats ... and you have not.
For example ....I recognize some of the venom spewed on this thread… It was brewed in the 90s.
Over the next 364 days I will obsess about recruiting and how this team can be built to beat Ohio. I can only damn well hope that Michigan coaching are doing the same.... the fear lingers that they are not.
Yes, the previous 6 teams to make the CFP while completely undefeated are Bama twice, Clemson twice, 2014 FSU and 2018 Notre Dame, none of which played 9 regular season conference games.Am I right that this is the first CFB team to go 9-0 in conference in a regular season?
That’s a career’s worth of work under previous regimes! Our TE blocked fantastic and also contributed 3 catches for 20+yards. including a huge 1st down to Farrell
Any chance for ttun to stay in the game was lost in the 2nd q when sheila fumbled and then ttun kept our ensuing drive alive by jumping offside on a punt. 14 pt swing, ballgame.
Man, 2011 still hurts.
