They went 13-0 and reached the CFP. I'd bet against us doing either of those things at this point.

That was mostly because the ACC was trash other than Clemson that year.

The same behavior is existing however:

1. no running game
2. QB play pulling games out of the fire.
3. sluggish starts in seemingly any game against decent to good teams.

And as we all know that team got annihilated by Oregon.

It's a decent comparison from what we see right now. Only time will tell if it's fully accurate or not.

This is Purdue's Super Bowl and they're a team that traditionally gives OSU problems. I'm not surprised they scored 14. I'm pissed that our OL is performing so poorly.

Halftime thoughts. I came into tonight expecting a dogfight. Purdue always plays us tough and this a night game and their Super Bowl. I still expect that we can and will adjust and win. This doesn't feel like Iowa 2017 to me. None of this makes the first half feel better.

This team has a lot to work on. However, we just need to survive. A much needed bye week is coming up. Just need to win the B1G and let the chips fall where they fall. Coming into this year, I thought this team could play with anyone. Despite not facing a real test, I am now putting Bama on different tier. However every other team has looked mediocre at some point.

This team today would get housed by many top 15 teams. This team after rested and healthier in two weeks would still not be able to challenge most of top 10. This team after a month of preparation...maybe? We have history of both stepping up and not stepping up after the break.

Cliff notes: survive, rest, beat Scum at home, win B1G Championship versus whoever the West puts up, and see what we can do after that.
