They've typically come out of the blue, though. The signs of this happening have been there all year. Now it's just coming to bear. This team is just horribly flawed in multiple ways. Even if they somehow pull this out, the other shoe will drop at some point.

Problem with this is that your ceiling is limited recruiting like that. See: Sparty against Bama in 2015. The ceiling is still highest with Urban but hot damn is the floor low. The gulf in talent between Ohio State in Purdue is FAR larger than the gulf in talent between a team like Alabama and Texas A&M or Tennessee yet you'd think it's Purdue with the 5-star athletes.

Honestly it seems like OSU thought the season ended after beating PSU.

They've gotten worse each week and there is zero urgency for improvement. It really might be better to lose this and see if they can rebound. Otherwise this is simply a dead team walking.

They faced a 110th ranked offense last week and let them control the game until the very last 5 minutes. Facing a 111th ranked pass defense this week and getting embarrassed in every phase of the game.

Offense is slow, undisciplined, can't execute simple run plays or catch TD throws if they're not perfect.

I know this sounds crazy and in no way am I blaming Haskins, but I'd try Martell at QB because he's a run threat. Get some read option going, maybe we'd actually be able to run the ball.

Otherwise, just throw it every play and hope for the best because we can't run the ball with Haskins in there behind this underachieving line.

What really annoyed me this week were the local media folks saying that they'd be more worried if it was an early game, that the Bucks would be soft and not take it seriously. But since it's a night game, now they know it's on and will come out fired up. That's not how it works. The night game energizes the home team and home crowd a lot more than the visiting favorites.
