NEBRASKA HEAD COACH SCOTT FROST ON OHIO STATE: “THEY’RE A LOT BETTER FOOTBALL TEAM THAN THEY WERE A YEAR AGO”
Nebraska head coach Scott Frost was complimentary of Ohio State all week leading up to Saturday night's game, and he had a similar gracious tune following the Buckeyes' 48-7 lopsided win over the Huskers.
Frost acknowledged Ohio State's recent dominance and suggested that this season's team is "a lot better" than the 2018 squad which beat Nebraska by just five points in Ohio Stadium last season.
"I give a ton of credit to them and their coaching staff because they’re a lot better football team than they were a year ago," Frost said. "Both teams are two of the blue blood, great programs in the history of college football, but those guys have been on top lately, and that’s where we’re trying to get and where we’re going to get.
"We’re just not there right now, and we have a lot of work to do to make sure that happens."
Though he knew Ohio State dominated every aspect of the game, Frost saw turnovers as a primary reason for the lopsided loss.

Taking stock. Nebraska
I didn't think our defense could totally shut them down like that! That was a "clinic" and bodes well for the future.
We dominated in the trenches on both sides. Great job boys!
Fields was phenomenal....again! Under control and limited mistakes. He had "command" of the offense. What is his ceiling? It's really, really high! NFL high. His "windup " needs work though. Like to see it shortened. He has not thrown an interception.
The defense brought the wood last night and that was wonderful to see! Big hits by Werner and Harrison.
We only had a couple penalties. No turnovers.

Fields improvement is dramatic... the pass to Wilson should be a danger sign for the NCAA competition. if he is developing that kind of touch... this quickly... deadly
We need a new punter... someone that can do more than one punt... if 59 is all you can do we need to get some competition in there

The "look" on the Children of Corn's faces was priceless! Obviously, they thought it was going to be their night of ascendance! But their schedule sets up well for them to make a run at their division. Home games with Iowa and Wisconsin. They are not "done" by any stretch.

Let's be real the only reason we let Corn score is because we needed to make them look better than a MAC team who put 5 points on us last week.

And I believe that the response was, "We goin in deep with no lube."
So, what happened last night was expected, at least by most of the sensible people of Nebraska.
In fact - here's a convo between a buddy of mine (he's an alum) prior to last night's plunging...
Anybody who has seen Nebraska play this year knew who was going to dominate that game. Frost has brought them some ways, but he's not far enough along to compete with the squad you guys are fielding this year.
This year's Buckeye team is pretty damn special. Only test I see coming is against Bucky on the 26th.
