It's not a "different standard"..... it's that the B1G isn't what it used to be.

SEC the last 8 years or so has been Bama and Bama... Acc Clemson after a few year run for Kimbo at FSU before it all came crashing down. Both Bama and Clemson have gotten more mulligans than anyone in this timeframe. Not saying they didn't cash it in but OSU cashed it in 2014 didn't get one in 2015. Failed to cash it in 2016 badly. Hasn't been back.

At least the ACC had FSU a few years ago.

The SEC has had FL and Auburn at the top.

You gotta go 30 years since the B1G had anyone but us at the top.

Ya don't get to breaks when your conference sucks.

The ACC says otherwise. The ACC might be all time bad this year but if Clemson lost to UNC today they would still be one of the top 1 loss teams deserving or not. When the Big 10 was strongest in years we got no breaks. Bama gets breaks because of NC's Clemoson breaks cause of reasons and now have the NC's to continue doing so. The ACC during Clemsons run has been terrible so don't tell me it's about conference strength.

Not really. Outside of tOSU...... the rest of the B1G just isn't elite and hasn't been in many, many years. Seriously, it's been 30 years since ttun had it's moment.

Granted, outside of Clemson, the rest of the ACC is high school, currently, but FSU was relatively recently the best team money could buy.....

As I said, the B1G needs to step up. It's not us, but the conference is weak. If you wanna say otherwise, I'm all ears...... but nobody from the B1G but tOSU gets NEAR the CFP, usually.

If you think tOSU could beat Clemson, I'm listening but I believe the last game was 31-0...... not the good guys.

I'd HOPE for a different result but if you think Clemson and Bama are easy wins, you're a Homer.

There's a ton of 5* talent at tOSU but there's a ton at Clemson and Bama also.

My issue is the B1G, not us. Without the B1G being strong, ranked, and winning...... the recent results are: ACC and SEC, almost exclusively.

If you think that doesn't skew the playing field, you're not looking at reality.

They are easy wins right now... both have major wholes.

This OSU team doesn't.

Conversely the B1G was barely .500 when OSU rampaged through the CFP in 2014.

Conference strength means jack shit. Bringing up the ACC is laughable considering the fact that the ACC has been a fucking dumpster fire for almost 20 years now. The Pac-12 has arguably been better, they just don't have the top end teams like USC carrying the flag for them anymore.

I think you misread that a bit. We don't get breaks because our rival and PSU suck. If they were worth a fuck and relevant, would we get breaks? Who knows?

My problem is you are talking out of both sides of your mouth. You say OSU doesn't deserve a Mulligan cause of B1G being shit but then you say Clemson does despite the ACC as you put it being a bunch of highschool teams. There is no logic in it other then Clemson beat use badly forever ago? I guess Bama doesn't deserve a muligan this year cause they were housed by Clemson last year. We all know that's not gonna happen or even be on the radar. Also if you watched Clemson today and Ohio State and think if both teams show up like they did today Ohio State doesn't beat them by 20+ I don't know what to tell you. I know Clemson is talented yada yada but sometimes Talented teams don't put it together. See FSU in 2014 and OSU in 2015. Until this Clemson team this year goes on a dominant run I'm not automatically assuming they are Clemson of the past few years.

I'd agree.

If ANYONE else in the B1G showed signs of life in the top 10 consistently, it would be a good thing.

I'm not saying tOSU sucks, they don't..... they're my #3 currently. However, the peds are iffy for a top 10 spot in Dec..... ttun, I think not. Wiscy? We'll see how big their bung is after we're done with them.....

Is Bama likely to plunger most of their schedule? Yep. But GA? Auburn?

Name someone tOSU should worry about? Wiscy? Maybe..... past that..... pastries.
