The No. 3 Ohio State men's tennis team returns to the road after winning its first Big Ten contest of the season March 4 at Penn State, 7-0. The Buckeyes (15-1, 1-0) will travel to College Station, Texas, Thursday to face the No. 18 Texas A&M Aggies (11-3, 0-0). The match is the second of seven consecutive road contests for Ohio State. Including the match vs. the Aggies, the next six opponents are all ranked in the ITA polls.
The Buckeyes are 55-2 when they are the No. 3 ranked team in the country.

Scouting the Aggies
Texas A&M enters the contest with an impressive 11-3 overall record. The Aggies have yet to play a Big 12 opponent. Texas A&M started the season winning four of its five contests, with the only loss occurring at No. 5 Texas. At the ITA National Team Indoors Championship in Seattle, Wash., the team fell, 4-1m to No. 4 Illinois and, 4-2, to Washington. The Aggies bounced back with a 4-2 victory over rival No. 19 Texas Tech. Including the win vs. the Red Raiders, Texas A&M has reeled off five wins in a row. The last four have come against No.68 TCU, No.53 LSU, No.24 Notre Dame and Wisconsin.

Ohio State is 2-2 all-time vs. the Aggies, with both wins happening under head coach Ty Tucker.

Justin Kronauge beat Alexis Klegou 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 to claim the victory for the Scarlet and Gray.
Ohio State vs. the Big 12
The Buckeyes travel to College Station with a 9-4 record all-time vs. teams hailing from the Big 12. Ohio State has played one Big 12 opponent since their meeting last year vs. the Aggies, defeating No.14 Texas Tech, 4-1, during the ITA National Team Indoor Championship event in Seattle, Wash., Feb. 18-21.
Big Ten Best
Ohio State currently is on a 67 match win streak in the Big Ten after the victory over Penn State last week. Entering the season, the Buckeyes have amassed five-consecutive Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles. Coach Tucker has also nabbed Big Ten Coach of the Year every year during the span as well. Last season, Ohio State recorded a combined Big Ten singles mark of 58-2 and a total Big Ten doubles record of 18-8. In addition to the 67 consecutive match win streak in conference play, the Buckeyes also have been a winner in 119 of its last 124 league contests, including postseason play.
Looking for Road Win No. 50
After defeating No. 19 North Carolina earlier this season, 6-1, and Penn State last week, Ohio State enters the match vs. Texas A&M this weekend on a 49 consecutive regular season (non-tournament) road win streak. The last road loss for the Buckeyes occurred at Notre Dame during the 2005-06 season where they fell to the Fighting Irish, 5-2.
Success in DualsOhio State has been dominant so far throughout the 2011 schedule in dual action. In singles, the Buckeyes are a combined 81-8 (.910). Senior Balazs Novak paces the squad with 14 victories. Chase Buchanan and Devin McCarthy each have 12, while freshman Blaz Roala has 11.
In doubles, the Scarlet and Gray are a combined 35-11 (.760). Senior Matt Allare leads the way with a 10-4 mark, while Novak and McCarthy are right behind at 10-3 and 11-3, respectively.
Last season, Ohio State finished with a combined dual-record of 160-32 (.833) in singles and was 85-20 (.810) in doubles.
Eight Buckeyes Ranked in Latest PollNew Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings were released Tuesday March 1.
Senior co-captain Balazs Novak marked the biggest improvement of any Buckeye, entering the rankings for the first time this season at No. 76, partly because of his then 13-match win streak.
Junior
Chase Buchanan, who was ranked 21st in the Feb. 14 standings and 63rd in the inaugural standings, jumped seven places to No. 14. Freshman
Blaz Rola moved up one spot to No. 4 after he was initially ranked seventh Jan. 4. Senior
Matt Allare jumped six spots to No. 39, while redshirt-sophomore
Devin McCarthy is 46th, improving nine places.
A trio of freshmen round out the rankings for the Scarlet and Gray. Peter Kobelt had a large gain, jumping 23 spots from 86th to 63rd. Nelson Vick broke the century barrier moving to No. 95, while Ille Van Engelen sits at No. 112.
In the doubles poll, the teams of Rola-Buchanan and Allare-Kobelt each dropped two spots in the rankings. Rola and Buchanan fell to No. 8, while Allare and Kobelt now sit at No. 12. The duo of
