Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Gracel, very eloquent, and thanks. Coulda searched hard and long, and wouldn't have gotten such a good and concise response. I fall into the most players category, and would want to play on, as that is what these players do/want. Do have to wonder how the new 'left coast' contingent of the B10 will handle once the new schedules are formatted. Maybe a UCLA/Oregon/USC/UW will charter a smaller jet to travel east, play a match, fly to next city, play another, and then one more and then home? The costs for some of the smaller-sized teams will be horrific unless something like that works out, methinks. Again, thanks for clearing away the fog, as have always wondered why various outcomes played out. Go Bucks!
I was thinking that they could minimize some of the travel expense by creative scheduling (i.e. schedule where more than one team could travel together). The obvious is to have both tennis teams (men and women) play the same conference schedule. Both of Ohio State's tennis teams could fly to LA, one plays UCLA Friday and USC Saturday, and the other plays the opposite days. I see no reason why you couldn't could even fly teams from 2 different (or more) sports together.
