This is the preview of the Gators from the official site:
Florida snapshot The Gators won their first three matches, including two 4-0 sweeps to qualify for the Indoor National Championships, before being upset by No. 17 Florida State 4-3.
  • Florida will play the Buckeye’s rival Michigan on Friday before their upcoming Sunday match against the Scarlet and Gray.
  • All four matches have been in Florida, so this will be one of the first matches travelling out of state for the Gators.
  • Ohio State’s top two guys will have a real challenge on Sunday, as they face two top-10 opponents: No. 7 Johannes Ingildsen, and No. 9 Alfredo Perez.
  • The Gators also have three top-50 guys as Duarte Vale is No. 43.
  • Andy Andrade has the most singles wins for the Gators with three.

  • No. 10 Oliver Crawford/Chase Perez-Blanco have the most doubles wins for the Gators with four.
History vs. Florida
The all-time series between Florida and Ohio State is in the favor of the Buckeyes at 7-3.
  • Their first match was in the 1954-55 season, and was an 8-1 win for the Gators.
  • After losing their first three, Ohio State has won the last seven matchups against Florida.
  • Four of these matchups have either been in the NCAA tournament or the National Indoor Championships, with the Buckeyes going 4-0 in these matchups.
  • Their last matchup was last year on February 26, and was in Florida.
  • Florida won the doubles point, buy Ohio State dominated in singles and ended up winning the match 4-1.
  • After losses by Torpegaard/Herkko Pollanen and Mendez/Tubert in doubles, wins by Torpegaard, Hugo Di Feo, Pollanen and Seelig gave the Buckeyes the win. Four of the six matches were three sets long.

Gators have dominated the doubles point this year, undefeated with 3 top ten ranked teams and had only lost one dub set in 2018.
Until today, ... Bucks take a 6-1 win at #1 dubs, drop #2 to a ridiculously talented team, but get the momentum Surge for a 7-5 victory with Tubert and Mendez at #3.
Singles up next, Gators have 2 top ten ranked players so Torp and Wolf will be thoroughly challenged again.

Hmmm. I didn’t notice that action, but it appears Wolf saw what he did and did aswinging air handshake,
That Texas A&M player was Patrick Kypson who won in the fiinals vs Wolf at the prestigious international kzoo junior tournament this summer, but Friday, in a clutch and decisive match j j wWolf prevailed.
Much twitteroutcry calling for his suspension after the video was released, and he wasn’t in the singles or doubles lineup for the aggies match vs. #23 Texas tech, on Sunday. No word if he was suspended.

His coach addressed it later in the day:
Update (6:42 p.m.): Texas A&M responded to our request this evening with the following comment from men’s tennis head coach Steve Denton:

“Sportsmanship and respect are pillars of the sport of tennis and Texas A&M, and Patrick Kypson’s actions at the conclusion of his match at Ohio State were counter to that. He has been appropriately disciplined for his behavior. Patrick’s not only remorseful for what he did, but is acting on that to show that he learned a valuable lesson. We will support him in that effort. We have addressed his actions with him and with our friends at Ohio State.”

SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT: MEET KYLE SEELIG, OHIO STATE TENNIS' SECOND-HIGHEST RANKED PLAYER WHO WANTS TO TELEPORT AND ONCE WALKED WITH LIONS

91243_h_0.jpg

Welcome to Saturday Spotlight, where we dive into the lives of Ohio State student-athletes and learn more about their journeys to Columbus, their love of the Buckeye traditions and who they are as competitors and students.

Kyle Seelig has been with the Ohio State program for three years.

A former five-star recruit, Seelig is a redshirt sophomore from Hatfield, Pennsylvania. He finished 30-7 in his first year as a competitive player with the team, and is currently the #30 ranked player in the country, with a 15-5 record thus far.

We sat down with him to learn about his favorite Ohio State tradition, place to eat on campus, and much more.

When did you realize you had a chance to play tennis at the collegiate level?

Kyle Seelig: I think I always wanted to, but I guess it really hit me maybe when I signed to come here. I always thought I had the capability of playing Division-I tennis and always dreamed of going to a great school like Ohio State. The program is amazing. [Head coach] Ty Tucker has been incredible, and I guess it kind of hit me when I signed and I was coming here to play.

What drew you to Ohio State outside of tennis?

KS: That's a tough one because tennis is the biggest reason why I'm here but I'd say that the academics are great. Growing up I went to a Christian high school and have Christian parents and am firm in my beliefs and they have always stuck with me. OSU has a great place for athletes to go that have strong religious beliefs like I do and that really drew me here. So that was another huge reason for why I decided to come here. I never really thought about coming to Ohio from Philly. I grew up liking Penn State so it was a little bit different for me.

What is your proudest tennis moment?

KS: I'd say in college when last year in the Elite 8 when I came back and won a three-set match against TCU. I could've easily gone away after losing the first set. The heat index was above 100 and I was really struggling but I fought back and won my match in three sets and our team ended up winning 4-3 a couple minutes later and we ended up getting to the final four. That was really special.

First journey south and outdoor match of the season and the rocky transition from 6 months of indoor competition was apparent in erratic play as the Bucks dropped 0-4 decision to u Georgia today.
Not many bright spots...
For after dropping the dubs point, OSU lost the first set in each of the singles.
Second set comebacks were happening but Georgia was able to close out wins at 5, 6, &2 for the sweep.
