Florida in February is a major advantage for southern teams while indoor teams struggle to transition to the outdoor conditions.

In fairness, this ranking is based on a flawed computer measurement, but #1 is still worth celebrating!

"Coming off its sixth victory over a top-15 ranked team this season, the Ohio state men’s tennis team has risen to No. 1 in the latest Oracle ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on Tuesday.
The Buckeyes are 13-1 on the season and boast six wins over top-15 teams. All of those six wins have come in the last two and a half weeks. The Buckeyes lone loss on the season came in the finals of the ITA National Indoor Team Championship to previous No. 1 Virginia on its home court.
This is the first time Ohio State has been ranked No. 1 since April 15, 2014. Overall, this is just the fourth team to rise to No. 1 in the rankings in school history. In addition to the 2014 squad, the team spent time at No. 1 in 2013 as well as in 2009...."

The newly ITA ranked #1 Buckeyes will host two ranked opponents this weekend.
Friday night #29 Notre Dame, fresh off an upset of Northwestern will invade the Varsity Indoor Center,
and Sunday at Noon, the Buckeyes will seek revenge vs. #4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners;
In 2015 the #1 Sooners ended the #8 Buckeye's 200 consecutive home win streak.
This weekend's pair will make 7 straight ranked opponents that the Buckeyes will face in 2017.
