Yes, the crowd gave them a great ovation. Haven't you heard, we're a tennis school now.

Thanks for pointing out the love from the football crowd!

The men's tennis team represents their school well!
They have gained strong respect as a tennis school in the body of the NCAA and ITA.
Tucker's name has become highly regarded as a coach in international circles. Lots of love for Coach Tucker's contributions at the Ohio State University. Unfortunately Tennis is the only sport where love means nothing. :wink2:

The official OSU tennis site has a preview of the All American tournament in Tulsa, OK. Last year Rola and Buchanan finished 2nd in doubles competition.
Looks like Florida State transfer Connor Smith will be eligible to play for the good guys!
He is listed among the players selected for the qualifying tournament draw and also paired on a double's team with Peter Kobelt.
In the original ITA release, Steven Williams and Kevin Metka were included in the prequalifying draw, but are missing from the most recent listing.
I will try to post a live video feed link when the Buckeye matches are announced for Monday.

Buckeyes Set to Kick-Off Fall Schedule This Weekend
Ohio State travels to Tulsa, Okla., for D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships

The six-time defending Big Ten champion Ohio State men's tennis team will begin its 2011 season this Saturday when pre-qualifying action begins at the 2011 D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. The event is taking place for the fifth-consecutive year in Tulsa, Okla., with qualifying rounds beginning Oct. 3-5 and the main draw matches concluding the tournament from Oct. 6-9. . . .

FOUR BUCKEYES EARN SINGLES MAIN DRAW ENTRY
Chase Buchanan, Blaz Rola, Devin McCarthy and Peter Kobelt received singles main draw selections into the All-American championships. The four Buckeyes were the most of any other school in the country. Virginia and Tulsa were next with three main draw selections. . . .

FOUR LOOKING TO QUALIFY
In addition to having the most players in the singles main draw, Ohio State has more players than any other school, with four, looking to qualify for the main draw of the 2011 D'Novo All-American Championships (Duke, Oklahoma and San Diego also have four). Hunter Callahan, Connor Smith, Nelson Vick and Ille Van Engelen will look to earn the opportunity to qualify for one of 16 main draw spots. . . .

UP NEXT
The Buckeyes will continue their fall slate Oct. 13-17 when they return to Columbus and serve as host of the 2011 ITA Midwest Regionals. The tournament will take place at both the Ohio State Varsity Indoor Tennis Center and Jesse Owens West Recreation Center.

The Tulsa live stats and live video link claims to show video on the first 5 courts but my linkage is limited to court one. Anyone else getting 2-5?
