Three teams from Minnesota headed to the Frozen Four but the Gophers will not be one of them.

St. Cloud State went through Boston U. and BC - fuck the Beanpot, Minn-Duluth won the longest NCAA game ever (5 overtimes), and Minnesota State is just minutes away from finishing off Minny, leading 3-0. UMass will join them.

Minnesota-Duluth was the beneficiary of that forfeit. Tonight they're playing UMass in the Frozen Four, winner takes on St. Cloud State in the final.

Duluth is trying to become only the second team to three-peat. The first? scUM ('51-'53). Would be kind of funny if they match it after the forfeit in the first round.

Some might even say it's a bit of karma after the cowardly crap TTUN pulled in football.

tsun's hockey reputation is pretty much equal to their football reputation, just a few decades apart. The tsun football reputation was built at the same time as "Remembering The Maine" and "trust-busting." Their hockey reputation lies in the poodle skirt and hoola hoop era.

Buckeyes looked about to be blown out at Minny falling behind 0-3 in the first period, but it's now 3-3 in the 3rd period.

Game is on Bally Sports in Ohio.
