Ohio State Men's Basketball (2026-27 Official Thread)

All in all, Ohio State men’s basketball will have games broadcast on FS1, Big Ten Network, BTN+, HBO Max, Peacock, ACC Network, CBS, FOX, and NBC this year. Ohio State diehards will have to find a way to get all nine of these channels at some point during the season, although a few may just require one day, week, or month before you can go in and hit “cancel” for the rest of the year.

But how much will that cost you? Well, I broke down the schedule, analyzed the prices, and did my best to give fans a rough estimate of how much it will cost Buckeye fans to watch the men’s basketball team all season long.

The short answer is $197.99.

A thing to consider with the new 76 team field. It's really going to have to be re-defined what "success" actually looks like. I don't think limping into the tail end of a 76-team field should be considered a major accomplishment, especially in relevance to job security for the coach.

They are going to have to find a lock down defender. I'm no lt sure I saw one last night that could take anyone away. And we at least need to be able to take one player away
Sadly, pretty much ever since the Holtmann was hired, OSU recruiting basically forgot that you really need defense to elevate the program beyond mediocrity. EJ Liddell may be the only real plus defender the team has added since then, and it's not a coincidence that there have been no Big Ten championships. Thad Matta at least understood the level of athlete you want to have to win Big Ten championships, but I'm not sure the coaching staffs we've had since his departure have ever quite figured it out. They have pretty consistently prioritized offensive skillset while devaluing strength, athleticism and physicality. Last year they at least had Bruce and Royal to bring some strength, grit and toughness, but with this group I think they've taken a clear step backwards in those areas.
