Game Thread Ohio State @ Maryland - 11/17/18, 12:00PM (ABC)

I remember a team that had to get lucky to beat Cincinnati, have a miracle to beat a 6-loss Purdue, and needed overtime vs a 7-loss Illinois..... im not saying this team is like that one...just trying to put this in perspective. We’re 10-1 and still in every race.

And before the “I don’t want this team to play Alabama” people come back out...I remember that same team beating an all-time Miami team that we didn’t belong on the same field against.
The thing is, that team had leadership, discipline and passion. This team has none of that. They aren’t even comparable in my opinion.

We've all watched the same games this season. MD is not a good team and we squeaked by. Purdue, also not a good team, and we didn't. 10-1, and that's good, but one has to be a blind homer to like this season.

Further, the overall Big Ten quality... from us, to the Peds, to Sparty, to that other team.... just doesn't feel right. Yeah, the SEC games the schedule to pad their stats, but measure this year's B1G vs itself historically and I see discipline, execution, fight, and fire issues.

If we want the conference to get the benefit of the doubt, we need to be the Big Ten of a decade or two ago and play quality football.

For example, just now, IU loses a fumble..... 2 plays later, *ichigan throws an interception. It's exciting football, but it's not good football.

If we beat TTUN ill absolutely like this season.

I agree. It wouldn’t surprise me that they get left out even if they win next week and in the championship game.

Me neither. They would need lots of "style points" in the next 2 games and some upsets with a few teams ahead of them; in all honesty, (needless to say,) they just don't look like one the 4 best teams in college football right now.

Yeah, here’s the thing, the SEC is garbage outside of Bama and an occasional runner-up. LSU lost to Florida and I don’t care what the rankings show, they’re a bad team. Also why Bama blew them out in their house 29-0.

Outside of that, I just don’t care at all to be honest. You want to know what matters to me? Beat that team next week and let the AP and CFP and whoever else say whatever they wish.

Anyone thumping their chest for SEC football should head south and buy a crimson jersey.

Let's talk 2018 B1G vs 2002 B1G. If you think the conference play is as consistently good as it was then, fine. I don't. I'm seeing sloppy football, multiple execution errors, OL play that's just weak, D play that's not just bad..... it's awful.

I'm arguing there was a time when the B1G held itself to a higher standards overall AND GOT THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT as having national contenders every year, when AL DOESN'T get the nod over us in the playoffs because the conference had the history and respect of the coaches, AP, Bowls, committees, etc.

I want that. Fuck the SEC...... we need more pride in and accountability for ourselves.

WATCH: Urban Meyer, Greg Schiano, Buckeyes Review Win

Watch all 7 of the videos: https://theozone.net/2018/11/watch-urban-meyer-greg-schiano-buckeyes-review-win/

Not impressed at all with that Schiano interview. Doesnt acknowledge the issues or what could be different.
Reminds me a lot of Fickell in 2013... which could be a good thing. Because Fick wasnt the problem... but still... doesnt inspire any confidence in this season.
That statement about each week being a different entity and not looking at patterns over numerous games is uhhh interesting.
