Hello Ohio State fans, I am looking forward to the Fiesta Bowl. In all honestly, I am one of the few ND fans out there who think Ohio State has the edge and will defeat us. Hawk and the defense will be the best we have seen all season.

How is that, my friend? True, Oregon had one less loss, but other than USC who did they play? IIRC, on the selection show today they had a graphic that showed Oregon not beating a single Top 25 team, while Ohio State has beaten two. Not to mention Ohio State's schedule was fourth toughest for the year. We lost in the final minutes to #2 Texas whilst Oregon got crushed by USC. Our only other loss was the close game at Penn State. In other words, we have two close losses to the #2 and #3 teams in the country, whilst Oregon got totally flattened by the #1 team. While we were playing the #2 team in the country in our second OOC game, Oregon was playing I-AA Montana in theirs. Oregon has no one to blame but themselves for not being BCS-rated ahead of us despite having one less loss.

Fuck Oregon.

Hello MB,

I just think that Oregon should have gotten into a BCS bowl game with their 10-1 record. Maybe the Fiesta should have been Oregon versus the Buckeyes! I have my doubts that the Ducks could beat either ND or tOSU but I think that they should have gotten into the game against one of them and have the chance. In any case, I am not too broken up about it as I've about had it with Phil Knight, and Oregon has uniforms that make me want to retch!

What are generally considered the most reputable boards among the Irish faithful? By this, I mean a well moderated, intelligent atmostphere with fairly objective conversation, friendly debate and most importantly...very few teenagers. :lol:

They need to add the Cotton Bowl to the BCS. The Cotton Bowl has taken a back seat to the BCS games, but the Cotton Bowl also has a lot of history and tradition. It needs to be a part of the BCS. This would alleviate a lot of this stuff. (I think they are doing this aren't they?)

Great point and I agree 100%. The Cotton Bowl used to be a huge deal, it was played on New Year's Day, it crowned National Champions, many great players and teams (including OSU) played in it, etc. I would love to see the Cotton Bowl in the BCS. I thought they were adding a Bowl to the BCS? When does that start?

a deserving team will always be left out of something no matter what you do. this year it was oregon. i feel bad for their team and their fans as they did deserve a bcs bid. but there is no way on earth i would give up this matchup. two teams with the history, tradition, and following as these. not to mention that both are equally (if not moreso) deserving of a bowl bid. its a shame we don't play more often.

damn... talk about a schedule! start the season off against texas, go play in happy valley in the middle, then end it in the big house followed the domers. wow... is there a way to fit more big names in a single season?
