The game at Wisconsin will mark Ohio State's first game in Camp Randall Stadium since the 2012 season and the first regular season matchup between the teams since the 2013 season. The teams last met in a rather memorable Big Ten championship game Dec. 6, 2014: a 59-0 Ohio State victory. Ohio State had lost three of the previous four games at Camp Randall Stadium prior to its 21-14 overtime victory in 2012.

So a real quick glance at the Wisconsin schedule and numbers to date tells me to just look at three game; LSU, MSU and tsun.

Against those 3 opponents (lost sack yardage not counted against rushing):

17.7 points per game
118 rushing yards per game
163 passing yards per game

111 rushes/354 yards = 3.19 ypc

44 of 82 passing for 488 yards 2 TD/6 INT for the two QB's combined.

Hornibrook (the new QB) just went 9/25 88 yards 1/3 vs tsun. His year to date including games against Akron and Ga State; 38/68 (56%) 486 yards 4TD/5INT

They are also pretty average at both Kickoff and punt returns, so all in all I don't see where they generate enough offense to win a game against a team like OSU.

At home, at night, after a bye week. That's really all that Wisconsin has going for them.

and that is no small thing

Their defensive prowess so far has come against two QB's who have since been benched and Wilton Speight. All 3 of those offenses look nothing like what OSU does so I am not sure how much of their defensive numbers you can take at face value either.

Win the TO battle, win the field position battle with special teams, pass to their capabilities and OSU should handle Wisconsin no matter the time or location.

If the weather is horrible and/or the passing offense is sub par again then Wisconsin can shorten the game and make it close.

I think it's about time we quit ragging on Speight, or at least the scUM offense in general. The fuckers put up 78 points against Rutgers, 20 more than we did and at Rutgers. I'm not saying the scUM offense is as dynamic as ours, but Wisconsin holding that offense to 14 points and 349 yards, at the Pig House, is pretty damn impressive...

Harbaugh also didn't have a relationship with Ash.

Some people on this site were pretty worried about scUM last year after they reeled off the three shutouts if I recall. The cry then was to start taking them seriously because they just did something to some other team worse than OSU did or some such transitive thing.

Speight is what he is, pretty accurate if given time, pretty much the opposite under any kind of pressure at all. Wisconsin held them to a low point total because they were the first team capable of putting pressure on him and they match up style wise with tsun which induces a low scoring slow paced game.

Anyone can read the tea leaves to their hearts content. I personally put zero stock into what scUM is doing against that tin can alley schedule. They've played 2 reasonably good teams and had two visibly hard times of it.

Yes, but put up less than 20 more yards and they controlled the clock far less time. Rutgers just gave up, not even running after backs on those last TDs. Pretty hard to be motivated when 101-0 the last six quarters and there's another half to play.

Not disagreeing with the underlying issue, Mili--TSUN is better than many people here think and they are getting better--but despite the disparity in the scores, the ass-kicking was impressive but not any more impressive.

My feeling after yesterday is that Wisconsin is a serious threat.

Sorry, too many times I've seen TSUN hyped to all hell only to completely falter against a team with similar talent level to them. I'll believe it when I see it. Urban Meyer OSU teams looking lackluster against inferior opponents only to blow the doors off of their stronger opponents is a almost a ritual at this point. Same with Alabama.
