I agree what helps me with any nerves is this will be at home, we have JT Barrett, we have Urban Meyer, and we have a field goal kicker.

I'm only worried about how we will handle their aggressive defense. However as I've seen if we can get to them early and force them to try to beat us through the air we got it.

The Buckeyes' Game-Winning Touchdown Was Months in the Making

When J.T. Barrett dropped back to throw on third down and two yards to go in overtime against Wisconsin on Saturday night, he wasn’t nervous or unsure. The Buckeye quarterback knew what he was doing because he’d run that play a thousand times before.

“I think that’s something that we worked on countless times in the summer,” the Ohio State quarterback said following the dramatic win.

NCAA rules prohibit coaches from working with the players in normal practice during the summer, so it’s up to leaders like Barrett to get workouts together. But the quarterback doesn’t just use that time to build chemistry and get into rhythm with his receivers, but rather work game scenarios just like the one against the Badgers.

“We don’t go out there to just throw routes,” Barrett explained. “We play the situation, play coverage and understand that that’s when it’s going to come up and that’s something that came up today and I just put it up there, back shoulder and he did a great job adjusting and he made the play.”

Barrett’s confidence on the play also stemmed from his intended receiver. The 6-foot-2 Noah Brown is the ideal target to go up and get the ball and has the hands to make the catch.

“I think it’s preparation,” he said. “All throughout the summer, me and J.T. have been working on fades, end zone passes just like that and just routes in general. Having awareness of the field, I’m pretty comfortable in that situation because I practice it a lot.”

Why? They've beat one team at home, and barely managed that. Other than that they've played nobody and fed off Ohio State leftovers. IMO the badgers were probably a bit hungover after beating the defending BIG champs the week before. Getting cocky over the outcome of the two games will only lead them to disappointment down the road. I've seen one of their fans saying our guys are ranked based on last years fumes. I have no idea what they are running on then. Also saw some of their fans talking about the power running game and Jabrill Peppers on sweeps. I mean seriously? That line has Kyle KaLLLLis on it. The same douche is still running his mouth about THE GAME after all these years. He's too fucking stupid to be part of the winning side. Couple of freshman are going to tear him up. I won't even get started on the Peppers hype machine. I'll take about anyone our guys stats from just this year over his career any day. I do so love hearing people talk shit about our defense though. Makes me giggle.

TTUn is playing decent ball this year, so I'll give them credit for that. It just seems to me that the Buckeyes actually tear out the hearts of the teams they play. Like I said somewhere else, I'll be very interested in how the Wisconsin/Iowa game plays out.

Well, I avoided posting on this thread last week as I didn't want to jinx the bucks in this one. Seems like since the 90s I'll take any win in any fashion against Wisky. Still remember getting our butts handed to us back in 99. Up 17-0 and go on to lose 17-42 at the shoe. Possibly my worst memory of a game at the Shoe. 42 unanswered points! Ron Dayne went for 4 TDs and passed Archie Griffin and Herschel Walker for career rushing yardage. Surprise starter, redshirt freshman Brooks Bollinger was steady and hurt us through the air and on the ground with timely runs. Used to be a foregone conclusion that we would beat Wisconsin. Not since that game in my mind. ALWAYS love beating them, especially in Camp Randall, especially when they are ranked. Haha, does it sting Barry? Could only be better if they climb out of their badger hole to win the west and we beat them again in the BIG Championship Game. Go Bucks!!!
