They have no killer instinct and there is no clear dog out there to take over when the shit hits the fan. I thought that this would be the year that Bruce did that but he hasn't become that player unfortunately. Disappointing.

Another brutal late game meltdown, this time in the most important game of the season, Holtmann Jr gets pantsed by another lame duck coach whos getting fired 
I know some people still will ride the "you cant blame the coach" logic here but the lack of late game mental fortitude and killer instinct is 100% a reflection of the coach.

In the last 2 minutes, your mist senior leaders should take over. Unfortunately, all year in the close games, Thornton chooses to let Juni or Devin try to take over. That should never happen. Mobley under 2 minutes, makes a lot of mistakes

Disagree. If we had 4 other guys on the same level as Bruce, we would have a top-10 team easily. Bruce plays hard for a ton of minutes & I think that's why he struggles at the end of games. He also has the occasional game where he isn't as efficient as usual, but that's to be expected for college basketball players. Bruce has been tremendous for this program, it's just unfortunate we don't have more around him this season.

In 2012, Ohio had four teams in the sweet sixteen: Ohio State, Ohio, Xavier, and Cincinnati. This year, we might not get any teams into the tournament at all. Ohio State and Xavier are bubble teams, and Akron is currently projected as a 13 seed.
