Ohio State 74, Illinois 58 (final)

This will be a tough first game Big 10 game for our young team having to play at Assembly Hall. Not a very easy place to play at. Illinois has some big boys in the frontcourt and it will be imperative for us to rebound and someone will have to step up on defense and stop Pruitt... he is a big boy!

Interesting indeed but the Tigers jut almost 50% from three-point range. I don't know if this is a good indicator or not.

All in all I'd take it just like our last game, a mix of a miracle 3pt % game and of poor defense. It just seems that Illinois has a worse track record of the poor D so far this year than we do.

I don't know much about Illinois but looking at their schedule and results so far this year I don't know how much of a suprise this was. They are 8-5 for a reason and that seems to be they don't exactly play lights out D.

Still they are big and tough underneath (a problem for us) and it is at Illinois. Two big reasons to be happy with any kind of W we can come away with.

That's gonna leave a mark. On Selection Sunday, that is.
.
You could be right but they lost at Duke, at Maryland, and to Arizona at home. Those are three pretty good teams right there but the loss to Miami and now this one to Tennessee State might hurt them at the end. I don't know I think the Buckeyes will have their hands full. They have some pretty big boys in the frontcourt and overall they are pretty athletic.
