At the point I wrote that post, I was hoping for any BCS game. It really doesn't matter to me if it's Fiesta or Orange.

It is. I'll be there - I'm hoping for a better crowd than I've seen thus far. It's a nationally televised game, so hopefully fans will come out and make us look like more than just a football school.

Yeah at least a little noise in there tonight would be great. We need to get a rockin' student section going.

The crowd so far has been pathetic to say the least, it would be nice for some of the students to get there and make some noise tonight.

Well a week night against Butler isnt really a game where the crowd is going to get to excited. I think tonight will be much different.

indeed, but that will change with time. we should be near the top of the big ten race this year, which should turn things around. We had pretty good attendance back in the days of Redd/Penn.

I still wish we would break out the old arena for a big game. I realize they want to make more money selling seats, but the Schott just can't compare in terms of noise.

I think that is more due to the capacity than how full it is. We do a good job filling out the seats during the regular big ten season, but we've got some work to do to shed the "football school" stereotype. I have no doubt Matta will succeed in that task tho.
