Ohio State 65, Michigan 55 (Final)

Any win over Michigan is a good win.....but this game doesn't make me feel any more confident about the rest of the season.

I'm sorry I had to be the first to rain on the parade so to speak. We looked like the same team that lost to Iowa for about 33 of the 40 minutes.

We didn't play our best basketball, but I thought it was certainly better than the Iowa game. I think this was the first time this season that I saw Diebler dribble to find his shot and then make it. Great game by Jon and Othello.

Great defensive intensity the last stretch there. Also, nice to see the guys getting decent looks at the hoop instead of just dribbling around the perimeter and settling for long jumpers.

Hunter was an animal. He was rebounding with authority. If only we hit the boards that hard the whole game.

Just to reiterate, my preschool son has still not been alive to witness a Michigan win in football or basketball.

And the beat goes on... :oh:

I actually don't know when the last loss was to scUM in bball, but I know he's been alive for 13 total games for football and bball, and the Bucks are 13-0.

Actually it is 7 straight under Matta (1 in 07-08, 3 in 06-07, 2 in 05-06, 1 in 04-05) for a total record of 7-0. OSU's last loss to TSUN was O'Brien's last game against them on 2/29/04.

Records of OSU's current coaches in the "Big 3" sports (football, men's and women's basketball)...
Jim Tressel: 6-1
Thad Matta: 7-0
Jim Foster: 8-0
Total: 21-1

Tressel needs to pick up the slack!

Definitely a great time to be a Buckeye!

Mens Bball last loss to scUM was 2/29/2004 @ scUM 64-75.

Thats 1437 days for those keeping score at home.

Also, according to this we now have a 7 game win streak vs the fucksticks from up north.

Good comeback win tonight. Great to see Diebler getting his shot to go down and Hunters leadership start to appear. Still where is KK? Why no Lauderdale and Wallace? Very few minutes for those guys and Twig still producing off the bench. Butler is getting tired. Maybe Hunter stepping up will give him some more confidence not to feel like he's got to carry this team on both ends.

Once again the zone gets busted. My opinion is if we go to man defense or even a different zone, at least maybe we'll get more of those long rebounds that teams keep getting when they miss the 3's. Its those wide open looks then the long rebounds to extend the possession that are killing us.

I want to see Lighty man up on Gordon. We leave those shots to Gordon and rebounds to White, and it will be a long game against Indy.

Good win Bucks. Now go get the next one!
