Game Thread Ohio State 45, Northwestern 10 (Nov. 8)

1. Our offense needs confidence after being shut down against PSU so I am glad JT didn't let up.
2. We had back up players in there doing the scoring at the end. Taking a kneel down doesn't give back up players any experience they need.
3. The BCS rewards blowouts.
4. If Florida can do it then so can we. (although I promise you that tOSU will take much more criticism for it.)
5. If Northwestern didn't want us to score they should have stopped us.

For all the reasons listed above, you Andre Ware, are the douchebag of the week.

Again, I don't mean to come off on the wrong card, what we did was still classy, but I would've prefered a knee. Just looking at Meyers bitch ass face I don't like anything about that. Boom deserved it though, and we played a helluva a game.

What don't feed out, feeds in. If you guys want these guys to play nasty, then once in a while you have to let them play nasty.

Anybody still think TSUN is going to beat this team this year?

Well we looking good coming off a loss and a bye week. Well minus the offensive line at the start.

Pryor has arrived as a true dual threat QB. This was by far his best game running when he had too and throwing some truly amazing TD's. This guy is everything we could ask for and more out of a freshman.

Yeah, mean old Jim Tressel was really piling on there in the 4th quarter. :roll2:

The guy can't win either way - when Ohio State beats a team 16-3 and doesn't score an offensive TD, all the "experts" can talk about is how the Buckeyes don't win games impressively like Oklahoma, Florida, Southern Cal, etc.

Send him the box scores of his Heisman season to remind him what it looks like.

Quick grades - scored on before and after Beanies' 55 yard TD.

BEFORE:

Run blocking - D there weren't any holes and Beanie was a one-man gang.

Pass blocking - B - considering there wasn't a running game, Pryor still had some time to throw

Throwing - B - Pryor is going to be a stud and all this talk about his throwing motion is garbage.

D-line - C - not getting off of blocks is a killer against a spread and against a mobile QB.

LBs - B- - looked a little sluggish at first

DBs - B - didn't miss any tackles and didn't cause any real problems in terms of blown assignments.

AFTER the Beanie TD:

Run blocking - B+ - there were holes there that hadn't been there since the MSU game or maybe even the Youngstown State game.

Pass blocking - B- - the only part of the game that deteriorated slightly although Pryor had time to at least hit his first read if it was there.

Passing - A - Pryor is going to be a stud. Enough said. Only 14 passes but the efficiency of the passing game can't be ignored.

Defense - A - After Northwestern scored that first TD they essentialy shut that offense down. While NW still got some yards, they were unable to make big plays especially through the passing game.

OVERALL:

B+
