Game Thread Ohio State 37, Penn State 17 (final)

Ask a PSU fan about this game.....They love it when I do it
True story...

I was wearing my FUCK ANN ARBOR tshirt I had bought at the Shoe the year before....except I put duct tape over the FUCK and wrote GO with a black marker. I was very pleased with the ending of that game....so I went to Wendy's to celebrate (:p). When I got to the parking lot, I saw a guy with a Michigan jersey on. I walked right over to him and shook his hand and said, "Thank you very much...Fuck Penn State."

In related news, Hell froze over today, and Lloyd Carr beat Jim Tressel. You've been able to thank us for the past 9 games haha

FUCK! Man I won 8 straight NC with Michigan. You're telling me they don't count????????????????????????????????????

Now I know why everyone claims UM has like 16 national championship wins! I mean in my life they've only won 1? Now I get it! haha...

To be honest I don't hate UM, when we play them I HATE THEM, but other wise I want them to win so that our game in the end is that much better. However, I straight up don't like PSU/Wisconsin (more so Wisconsin) so these next two weeks could be very good or very bad for me..

Tressel has great respect for Paterno

By Kyle Nagel
Staff Writer

Friday, October 26, 2007
COLUMBUS ? Another name came to mind when Jim Tressel was asked about Joe Paterno's sustained fiery nature at 80 years old.
"Have you been around Earle lately?" said Tressel, the Ohio State football coach, of the passionate Earle Bruce. "You are who you are. I've never been 80, but you hope you are who you are no matter what age you are. He's doing what he loves doing."

Leading men in the middle Linebackers Laurinaitis, Connor spearhead defenses for OSU, PSU
By George M. Thomas Beacon Journal sportswriter
Published on Friday, Oct 26, 2007
If the game Saturday night between Ohio State and Penn State were a movie, film makers would call it Clash of the Titans II.
The fact that OSU is ranked No. 1 and Penn State has eked back into the Top 25 has a lot to do with that. But football is traditionally about offenses against defenses and those who love the game will pay attention to two of the Big Ten's top-rated defenses and their perceived leaders: OSU linebacker James Laurinaitis and his counterpart, Dan Connor of Penn State.
In that respect, it might remind Big Ten fans of the 2005 OSU-PSU game when A.J. Hawk and Paul Posluszny roamed the middle. Posluszny put on a clinic with 14 tackles. Hawk proved far from a slouch, getting nine tackles, including three for a loss.

Morelli's better prepared for Ohio State defense

Friday, October 26, 2007

OHIO STATE INSIDER
Morelli is more seasoned
to face Buckeyes defense

Columbus- Anthony Morelli is over it.
"The Ohio State game from last year is long gone," the Penn State quarterback said this week. "I'm not worried about any picks. As a quarterback, you're going to make mistakes. It's how you bounce back from it."
Those mistakes last year turned a one-score game in the fourth quarter into a 28-6 Ohio State win after Malcolm Jenkins and Antonio Smith returned interceptions for touchdowns. That was Morelli's fourth game as a starter. Saturday will be his 22nd. He's 15-6 as a starter, 11-1 at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State provides annual test for Buckeyes
Friday, October 26, 2007
By RUSTY MILLER
AP Sports Writer

COLUMBUS There's no doubt who is Ohio State's No. 1 rival. Steeped in the Bo-Woody wars and all of that "team up north" rhetoric, clearly Michigan is the red-letter opponent on the schedule.

But No. 2 on the list might just be the team the Buckeyes frequently have the most trouble with, Penn State.

"Ohio State's got a great tradition," Penn State Coach Joe Paterno said. "We've had a lot of good games with them."

JoePa moonlights as pizza delivery man
Friday, October 26, 2007
The Associated Press

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. Add "pizza delivery man" to Joe Paterno's lengthy resume.

Penn State's 80-year-old head coach got the rock-star treatment Thursday from sweat shirt-wearing students camped out in front of Beaver Stadium to get prime seats for Saturday's night's game against top-ranked Ohio State.

"Who's paying for this?" he joked after more than 20 pies were wheeled out on a dolly.

"I want to give him a hug," one female student yelled from the crowd after Paterno and his wife, Sue, dished out slices.

Students started camping out just after midnight Tuesday, braving intermittent rain this week. Paterno hung around for about 20 minutes, wandering among the tents and shaking hands with fans.
