The key to the game all remains with one color yellow. As soon as we hit morelli enough that we see yellow stains in his pants its over, he does have a good arm, but if we rattle his cage... over.

exactly... if we go after morelli "like a bunch of wild indians" and rattle him, everything else will take care of itself because the crowd will turn on their beloved home team and devour them before they can even get a half-time pep talk.

This is our first real test since our first real test against Michigan State's running attack, which was our first real test since Purdue's passing attack, which was our first real test since Washington's hostile environment, which was our first real test since... well I guess that's as far back as it goes.

(thanks daveeb)

What I meant was a test of their mental strength in coming out and playing well after almost giving the MSU game away. If our O plays scared and tentative, we're in trouble. I think that our guys started to fall apart a little on O last week and this week will test their ability to bounce back and prove themselves. That's the mark of a champion...can you leave it on the field...learn from it, but then leave it. Does that make more sense?

Yeah, but if anything, I think our offense will come out pissed off and maul people, especially the offensive line. Look for some interviews with Kirk Barton after the game last week, he was extremely upset with their performance, and I think that will translate to motivation all week which will translate to mauling people in Happy Valley.

Well when we have no problem with Penn State it will have been just a win over a 6-3 disappointing Big Ten team. Its too bad Vandy isn't in our conference so we could really prove something.

Looking at that board it .seems as though they are all confident they will win Wow. Is it like this for every team we face. It is just going to make it so much more satisfying.

It's like that for every game the Buckeyes play against a team whose fanbase considers them "good." Fans tend to be hopelessly optimistic. And Buckeye fans really are no different, in that aspect.

We are going to be barely able to hear the snap count this game. We need to have loud practices to take care of this. No more then 3 false starts this game. It's got to be like clock work this week.

Good point about the false starts. They could prove devastating this week if they happen like they did last week.

Person was the only guilty party this past weekend...3 false starts. Not acceptable.

EDIT: I think a TE (Ballard?) also had a false start...

5 of the 7 OSU penalties were false starts... the other two were an illegal formation and a personal foul. I know Person had 3 of the false starts but not sure who the other two were.

OSU has 15 false starts through 8 games... just under 2 a game. This stat is slightly skewed as 5 were committed against YSU and 5 against MSU. There were no false starts against Northwestern and Kent State.
