OSU
23

PSU
77
that is why I can not stand ESPN lovers

Of course PSU is at 77%. Everyone in the country, with the exception of tOSU fans, wants to see the Bucks fall. They can keep hating all they want. I'm very confident that tOSU will come out of Happy Valley with a W.

:oh:

I can't wait till herbie, lee, and fowler have the gameday final... and say this...

"IF there's any doubt who #1 was it's surely over now, because Ohio State thoroughly beat a sound PSU team". I'm sticking to 21-10 or 21-6, but I can also see this game being somtehing like 34-10 or 34-0 if we play a perfect game on offense. This defense is just so talented, and with the way PSU has struggled against teams have decent defenses I'm more confident this year than in 05'

We have the defense to go into any stadium this year... only thing we need to do in this game is hold on to the ball. THATS IT. We'll score atleast 10 points by just running the ball and running a vanilla offense. 10 points will be enough to win this game. Thats the fun part, because you know our defense ain't giving up more than 3-14 points. We run a diverse attack with mistake free along the way and we win this game rather easily. Todd has got to play smart

Dude, no. Especially not Herbie. If we win by more than a touchdown, maybe even by any more than a field goal, ESPiN will still parrot the party line that we haven't been "truly challenged" by a "great team" this year. The only way anyone on ESPiN will say we're a legitimate #1 is if we win the MNC. Even then I'm not sure, because it depends on who we play. Say Boston College goes through the rest of their schedule without breaking a sweat, and we beat them by more than 2 Touchdowns in the national title game. ESPiN and its pundits will simply say another team should have gotten in over BC, and that that other team would have "destroyed" this Buckeye team. If we play LSU and lose a close one, it'll be just what we've heard the past year: "southern speed, SEC depth" so on and so forth. If we play LSU or someone similar and beat them in a close one, ESPiN will immediately highlight any controversial zebra-work as the reason the Buckeyes won this one (see 2002), rather than simply being the superior team that night. If we rout LSU or Oklahoma or someone similar, then they might shut up. But I wouldn't count on it.

Remember. Big Ten teams can never be legitimate number one teams because Michigan lost to App. St.

Our defense is looking crazy-good!!! I have trouble seeing anyone score 10 points on us, and hopefully we got our bonehead turnovers out of the way. I think our offense is in a bit of a rut right now, and as a result, is relying too much on Beanie off tackle or bomb to Robo plays. We need a bit more variety, but a boring offense and stellar D is enough to bring home Happy Valley win #3.

Buckeyes 26
Penn State 9

By the way, what do you hate most about Penn State?
1. Shit-bag fans
2. Stupid over-played lion roar
3. "We Are".... "Penn State" (real fucking original...)
4. The jerseys
5. 63-14

What do you like most about Penn State?
1. Joe Pa
2. Joe Pa
3. They're o-fer in Columbus
4. Joe Pa
5. None of the above

Way back in 2003, when media across the state of Florida were crying about Terry Porter, pass interference, late calls and coitus interruptus, nothing they said changed the simple fact that we had the crystal football.

The college football world hated that 2002 team, and they hate this 2007 team. Too bad. We're #1, and as long as we keep winning, we stay #1 and there's not a thing they can do about it. We didn't need their approval then, and we don't need it now. Suck it, SEC.

Edit: The thing I hate most about Penn State is the "We...are...Penn State!" Thankfully, due to the movie, I will always want to respond to the "We...are..." portion with "Marshall!".

I would love it if Lou Holtz gave a pep talk to Penn State

This is what I would tell the Penn State team just prior to kickoff:

Men last year the only thing that we got out of our trip to Columbus was a highlight film showing us trying to chase down Troy Smith before he threw a Heisman-esque touchdown pass to Brian Robiskie.

Men if you can beat Notre Dame you can beat anyone in the universe.

Ok let's go!

I think that we are going to win this one convincingly as well and that has nothing to do with the score. I don't believe the outcome will ever be doubted. That said I don't hate anything about Penn State. I respect their program which is more than I can say for most schools.

I love JoePa as well, but I think that he needs to be less stubborn and realize that the game has changed or move on so the program can be restored.

Anyone feel better about the game now?

Maybe a little better, but if that Pam Anderson arm tatoo went nuts and had some L'il Animal kinda flare to it. :yow2: Now that would be scary. :)

The key to the game all remains with one color yellow. As soon as we hit morelli enough that we see yellow stains in his pants its over, he does have a good arm, but if we rattle his cage... over.

It doesn't get any better than this.
Penn State vs. Ohio State.
College football in mid-autumn. Burnt-orange and yellow leaves on the trees. Charcoal smoke wafting. Tailgate beers flowing.
A sold-out stadium.
A sea of white supporters.
It sounds like a jet thundering at takeoff. Feels like an earthquake rumbling the mountains.
It doesn't get any better.

Slow, tiring Big Ten game that will be low scoring (Comparatively to the rest of OSU's games). 21-6 Ohio State. Lots of carries of Beanie, Mo, and Saine. The running of the ball will open up a few deep ball attempts from Todd Boeckman. Todd will not make any mistakes throwing the ball, and will just take a sack.
