Backups or whatever, meh

I can't begin to describe how disappointed I am in the defense in the 4th qtr

I agree.

Minny will end up with more than four minutes possession more than us in the second half. We gave them a lot in penalties on two drives and we hurt ourselves.

That said, some very good play by the defensive unit in the first half and early in the second half. More baby steps on offense. Some good play by Pryor and over 100 by Wells. Boom also had some good runs. Nice to see Boecks in there with a TD throw, but the offense is a different unit with him in there.

All in all, its a win.

I just thought this was a game that we should put the peddal down and make a very convincing win with a lot of points on the board and holding them to 10 at the most. If anything that swagger and confidence we saw in the first 3 quarters is not there. IMHO.

That drive, Nate Williams looked great. The rest of the defense looked like ass.

He brought good pressure, but on the TD he had Larimore on the other side of him both bringing pressure, but let Weber spin to outside on the offense's right side (the side he needs to have contain on).

It's far too often a dead zone....

I thought the offense did some things today, but the defense still has a lot of work to do. 2nd stringers or not I saw a lot of starters out there and the fact that we can't get off the field on 3rd down is very concerning. The disguising or pressure is still very evident, and I hate the spacing of our defense. Too many times we got 4 lineman with James in the middle and the other two OLB's not even near tackle box. If we want to make sure the flats are covered FINE, but I want to see 7 in the box as the play starts.

Side note Williams is going to be a force! Keeping containment will come but he has a nice burst and great strength on the outside. I still see James making too many tackles DOWN FIELD. Defense is still not even close to where it needs to be what so ever.
