Akron? Michigan? Purdue? Illinoy? Point is evryone has some close games against teams they should beat, and even lose to some, so your point is moot. Washington doesnt count because both teams lost their composure and received some silly penalties. Bad game all around.

Point by point:

Akron: 2nd game of the season. Despite the 20-2 score, Akron had 96 total yards and was never even close to scoring offensively. We turned the ball over five times, and yet Akron never got past our 42 yard line.

Purdue: At Purdue, night game. Although the 23-7 score suggests a tight game, Purdue was never in it (they got their TD with 10 seconds left in the game). We held Purdue's spread offense to 299 yards (211 yards before their 88-yard scoring drive against our bench at the end of the game).

Illinois: An actual bad game and a home loss (to a ranked team), but it was nothing near as shocking as your losing at home to Stanford.

Michigan: I assume you didn't watch the game or else you would've seen the weather conditions. When was the last time USC played on the road in a steady, freezing rain?

.[/quote] I am as light as I can be! I am the one that is losing reputation points, and I am just trying to talk football! I am not trying to be sarcastic, even though it sometimes seems like it. Thats why you see that I edit the post, because after I read it when it is in the thread, I say to myself " I need to fix that, it looks like I am being sarcastic " when I am not. I love to joke around when I am posting, but it seems like some posters dont have much of a sense of humor.:)
