Dont always believe the so called experts! Last year, the Trojans were just like the bucks are this year, Had 17 or 18 returning starters, a 2 yr. starter at qb, lots of 1st rnd. draft picks and so on, and they still lost 2 games, so anything can happen. I like this years team because I dont think there are too many players left on the roster who won the mnc against OU. It really looks like this group is hungy. They have been reading what all the nay sayers have been saying about them, and are eager to prove them wrong. I hope they are right!:)
drat! i wuz jest about to always believe some so called expert! :wink2: Double drat! i wuz just about to goto Vegas to bet a soon to be ex-friends fortune that something could not happen! :wink2: But if your team is hungry as well as way too starred, then JT's fondest football preferences are unlikely to prevail over Petey's just plain competitiveness. But the guys will give it a go, and it should be a great game. P.S. to prove a naysayer wrong, you need the right horse to kick some sense into him...after you get his head out of his naysayer. By then it is a moot boot point.

The last backs that USC played that were anywhere near Beanie's caliber(2007):

Oregon's Jonathan Stewart (Pac 10 leading rusher)
25 carries
103 yds
2 TD
4.1 ypc

Cal's Justin Forsett (Pac 10 second leading rusher)
31 carries
164 yds
1 TD
5.3 ypc

Illinois Rashard Mendenhall
17 carries
155 yds
1 TD
9.1 ypc

and that was with 2 NFL first rounders on the DL that are gone.

Those guys are all good backs but Beanie is better than all 3.

...feel the luv...here they come...just as Shirley as an old Fullback Belly series! Meanwhile, can anyone address how USC's 2008 offense can be so wonderful with that old outdated over the hill non spreadable pro set?

Not even close. Pick 45 in the 2006 draft, injuries and headaches vs. a likely top 20 pick (at worst), a potential heisman, can play through injuries and a pure class act.

And Brady Quinn went 150 picks before Troy Smith. What does all of this have to do with Rey Maualuga going up against Lendale White in college? Lendale in 2005 was a monster; a 1,300-yd, 6.6ypc, 24 TD beast with power, footwork, vision, and deceptive speed.
