Game Thread Ohio State 3, Southern Cal 35 (Sept. 13)

gotta luv how the luv ?happens? in the philosophical intricacies of ?just sayin??.

As far as feelings of domination go, that recent pic of Laurinaitis between Rey and some other LB?conjure up the cryin? ?n denyin? need for yet another Perfect Storm?or fluke?or Bigger, Better IGNORE Button.

In any BeanCounting Shop, the Trojans ?have more? talent beans than our Buckeyes. Despite the plethora of attempts & fantasies to the contrary, however, football remains a competition in reality?where the ?have mores? occasionally meet overachievers. Sep 13th?it?ll be FUN. :oh:

It's already starting:

USC will probably be better than Ohio State by the end of the season, but that game takes place so early in the year that the Buckeyes' edge in experience could make a difference.

Rivals.com College Football - Roundtable: After top pair, who's next in line?

You just know everyone's going to claim USC would beat us at the end of the year if we win.

Does this guy even know how many potential 1st rounders we have this year? I'm guessing not.

since when did claiming, and claim jumping, ever stop? :wink2:

I?m guessing knowing how many potential 1st rounders is ?guessing. But that would be speculating?kinda like just saying, sorta like whatever?

.... Has anyone yet mentioned, let alone discussed, why USC is such a threat with that old style has been offense like we used to use?the pro set? Must be they have?more?of whatever. Ah?another year of the finest anal y sis [rhymes with dialysis] ? ever?!

Meanwhile?I?m into auto-total-drool over these ingredients:

TE 6?6 great hands and/or WR in TE size
Veteran OL
Really very berry oldest QB
Heisman TB
10.38 217 totally ?balanced? runner/receiver
10.33 SuperSecretSoYoung runner/receiver/return man
Young the Pryor, after.

?where?s the chef? Or am I at McDonald?s?getting 2008 more with more reps and experience?

JT Riddle of the Day: [ref the 7/25 Jim Davidson OZ youtube interview]?. Riddle: Why did JT say we have more depth at QB this year than in some time?just after Schoenhoft and Henton both transferred leaving us with ?the least amount of QB?s [3] on our roster?

[speculation] Answer: to see if we could add?

Dont always believe the so called experts! Last year, the Trojans were just like the bucks are this year, Had 17 or 18 returning starters, a 2 yr. starter at qb, lots of 1st rnd. draft picks and so on, and they still lost 2 games, so anything can happen. I like this years team because I dont think there are too many players left on the roster who won the mnc against OU. It really looks like this group is hungy. They have been reading what all the nay sayers have been saying about them, and are eager to prove them wrong. I hope they are right!:)

I will tell you this, nobody in Trojan land that knows anything about football is taking OSU lightly. I would hope most on both sides feel the same way. This is definitly the biggest regular season game of the year, [outside of inconf. sec games of course!] SARCASM!:)

of course according to the media and Pete Carroll the past few years USC is always the best team at the end of the year no matter how many games they lose and who they lose them to

there was some ridiculous article on CBS I think (ill try to find it) something on the lines of "Ohio State and Florida will play for the title, but that will be a lie, USC is the best team in the country"

A serious question: If USC loses one or more national awards how does that affect the team?
Things I have read or seen in videos say that the players feel the individual awards are nice, as a team their main goal is to win the pac-10 first, because most anything after that usually is out of their hands. :)

Again, dont always believe everything you read in the press! I have never heard cpc say that. I have heard him say the team is playing its best football towards the end of the season, never the best team at the end. As far as that article, that is his opinion I am sure, not antone that matters.:)
