Not in a Prevent...I don't see any reason to not at least bring a 5 man package. With one TO, Wisky could not exploit the middle too much.

If it doesn't get picked up, It could take them out of FG range. I don't remember exactly where they were but it would have been a long FG..

Yes, Ohio State blitzes quite often, in fact.

But, if your DL can't beat anybody, then what's a blitz supposed to accomplish? It just gives the TE and FB something to do other than standing around watching their OL maul our DL....

This game is just the latest in a long line of games where a very average qb looks like joe-[censored]ing-montana against ohio state. Sometimes a competitor just steps it up when he's playing the best. It's a complement of sorts I suppose; but damn it, I'm SICK OF IT!

EDIT: And when you're not the best, but just have that reputation, you get torched.

You know what - I'm going to do something diffrent in this thread.

I'll praise the opposition.

Clay - great Freshman running back. Played well middle of the half.

Beckum - especially the TE I praise. Those scoring drives were kept alive or made to prosper by his play. He is playing at a level I haven't seen a TE play since Tony Gonzalez had his first big pro game. Seriously.

I don't know if Beckum can keep up his level of play next half - but, seriously, you have to give it up to him for a great first half of play.

Yep. All of the weaknesses we hoped had been fixed from last year have not. In fact, at times, they look worse. The DL is a major issue, hate to say it, but it's true. They were just getting abused for a large portion of that half.

I had the same thought...something to get Wisky to slow down the pressure.

It is clearly a deficiency. We can't get consistent pressure and we're soft on the run up the middle.

Offensively, we have to protect the ball better and take advantage of our opportunities. There's no good reason to only score 7 points with the chances we had that half.

It'll be interesting to see the adjustments JT makes at the half.

Need to pressure their QB...period...just don't know who's going to get it done.

Sandgk is right though--Wisky has put together some very nice drives.
