OHIO STADIUM'S TOBACCO BAN APPLIES TO EVERYONE BUT KEITH RICHARDS

Ohio Stadium first banned smoking in 1987 and the venue's policies currently forbid tobacco of all types – even you, sneaky nasal tobacco product consumer – but your mortal bans don't apply to the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards.

Here's the Stones guitarist tuning up in a makeshift dressing room within the stadium prior to Saturday night's performance at the Shoe. On the table in front of him are two packs of cigarettes, a lighter, a pair of scissors, an ashtray and Lord knows what else.

VIDEO: THE ROLLING STONES PLAY 'HANG ON SLOOPY' IN THE SHOE

When you go to Ohio Stadium, you expect to hear the classic Hang On Sloopy. Saturday night was no different, as the Rolling Stones performed the official rock song of the state of Ohio in front of thousands in attendance.

Paint it Black is just a bonus.

Do the Rolling Stones know how to play to an audience or what; however, with all the noise/screaming could anyone actually hear anything?

It's really more of an "encouragement to improve your health" than an outright ban, as the tobacco-free policy has no penalties at all for smoking on campus.

OHIO STATE NETTED $600K FROM THE ROLLING STONES CONCERT

Evan Weese of BizJournals.com is reporting Ohio State made $600,000 off the Rolling Stones concert. The actual number may be a little bit higher, though.

“What you have to remember is, the ‘show’ didn’t end until Tuesday, with labor bills,” Ohio State's Associate Vice President of University and Business Advancement, Xen Riggs, told BizJournals.com. “(Profit) is probably north of $600,000. I don’t know if I was expecting (any amount) in particular, (but) we’re very happy. That’s probably the range we would hope for.”

The Stones' promoter was so pleased with the show — nobody really knew what to expect beforehand — that he called Riggs twice on Sunday, presumably from a mountain of cocaine, money, and naked women (and/or men).:banger:

OHIO STATE SET TO BEGIN PILOT PROGRAM SELLING BEER AND WINE IN OHIO STADIUM SUITES AND CLUB SEATS THIS FALL

Gene Smith had said Ohio State was weighing the idea, and now alcohol sales are coming to Ohio Stadium this fall — well, at least in some capacity.

Patrons sitting in the suite and club levels of The Horseshoe will have the luxury of purchasing beer and wine during football games, Ohio State's Vice President and Director of Athletics announced Friday.

"This decision was made in consultation and with input from appropriate stakeholders, including the Athletics Council," Smith said in a press release. "The safety and well-being of our campus community is our first priority and the university will carefully monitor and assess the pilot program throughout the season."

Ohio Stadium houses 81 suites and 2,700 club level seats. All told, both areas combine for 4,370 total seats, or 4 percent of the stadium's capacity.

I really can't believe they didn't have at least wine available for the suites, considering the clientele they typically contain and what the suites are used for. I always just assumed they had a basic alcohol selection for the suites and that it was only on the concourses (i.e. for everyone else) that they didn't sell it.

OHIO STADIUM EARNS HIGH MARKS AMONG ARMY ALL-AMERICANS

That survey, while certainly small, was from a group of US Army All-Americans in San Antonio this week, and asked by 247Sports.com. The Buckeyes, along with Michigan, tied for the lead in the "best atmosphere" as voted on by recruits.

From BTN.com:

The popular recruiting website, 247 Sports.com, conducted a poll of recruits at the high school all-star game. A total of 40 recruits were asked to choose the best game day atmosphere, and 10 of them went with OSU.

Now, there are more Buckeye commits in attendance in San Antonio than any other school and it's impossible to know exactly who was polled, so take it with a grain of salt.
