I just can't help myself. At first I thought it was stupid, but the more stupid this is getting, the funnier it is getting.

So got me a new avatar

I'm the opposite. At first, it really didn't bother me that much, but to see all the publicity that this dOUche nozzle is getting is really starting to [censored] me off. Add that to the fact that people think he got the better of Brutus when he: 1) missed the tackle; 2) lost his head in the process; and 3) got thrown off of Brutus in the end zone.

I don't.
If I grew up rooting for Ohio State through high school, I'm not going to change that and I'm not going to pick my school based on my favorite football team. If I liked Ohio more than Ohio State, then I'd take all my Ohio State gear with me to Ohio.

This is what I did...

Just had to chime in and say - there's even a thread about this over on the Husker board I frequent. Someone posted the video, and everyone there is talking about what a douche the kid is too.

They posted Coach Solich's response too - have to say, pretty classy/funny response on his part!

While watching the video I laughed my ass off .... the Bobcat charged Brutus, attempted to tackle him, got side stepped and shoved to the ground while Brutus holds his arms up like "what now?!" then wipes his shoulders as he runs away like it was nothing ....

THEN I read the comments to the article ... and what really just irked the shit out of me ... is that Ohio University students seriously are prideful that they are the #2 party school in America? I sure as shit won't be sending my kid to Ohio U to drive and party. No matter where I send them, they'll do that, but I don't want it to be the pride of the school. I don't want to spend $20k+ and make THAT the emphasis.

Man this is starting to annoy me though. I go to OU and everyone thinks Rufus is cool for this, I'm just like Rufus is a bitch and that's the best I can say without using homophobic slurs.

dont worry his one week of fame is almost over......next week no one will talk about it

The funny part is that the trolls over at mgoblog are acting like this OU clown really pulled one over on us, clearly ignoring the fact that Brutus trucked the clown on his way to end zone.

Sept. 8, 2010

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- All enrolled University of Michigan students interested in walking-on to the football team may register for fall tryouts at Schembechler Hall through Friday (Sept. 10), between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Schembechler Hall is located at 1200 S. State Street, adjacent to the Yost Ice Arena. All those interested in registering must bring a copy of a physical taken within the last calendar year.
The tryout will be held on Monday (Sept. 13) at 4:30 p.m. at Schembechler Hall. All students who register should bring their high school coach's contact information, cleats and tennis shoes.
Contact: Mike Parrish (734) 615-2828

Me thinks that was his tryout... and me also thinks that he could be in the two-deep.

That is all, me thinks.

Being a mascot can be Dangerous Bizness. I remember a guy at my high school who was Barney Rubble at King's Dominion. Someone kicked his knee in and completely wrecked it, and by the time his handlers realized he was passed out and not simply sitting on a bench, he had heat stroke as well.

He was never the same after that. Last I heard, he was going into the ticket reselling business.

Good.

Son of a bitch still owes me money for the tickets he never delivered.

A good deal of my friends who are OU alumni seem really proud of it. A couple of the more hardcore ones were even predicting upset... by like 2-3 TD's. Still have that OU culture in them 4-5 years later, me guesses.

2010 Ohio University athletics won't be known for the bowl game they played in this past December, nor making it to the 2nd round of the NCAA tourny in basketball. It'll be known for mascot fail in embarressing fashion.

Let's just hope you aren't known for your embarrassing spelling.
