Game Thread Ohio at tOSU, Sat Sep 18, 12 ET, BTN/Overflow

For those in Central Florida (not sure if that's really anyone other than me), the game is on the main BTN channel for Bright House (33 or 1002 for HD). Too bad my girlfriend doesn't get the BTN...now I have a convenient excuse to go to B-Dubs!

I go to OU right now. Amazing place, great school, I'd rather be here than anywhere else in the world (including OSU, by far). But when it comes to football, I'm from Columbus, Ohio and I love Ohio State football. Ohio State football is the reason that I love sports in the first place.
but you go to OU now. you should ignore who you rooted for up until you were 18 and switch to them. if you wanted to root for Ohio State, you should have selected your college based on your favorite football team and not on where you think you fit best.

Why?

I've lived all over the US and Columbus, OH is in my top 3 places to live.

Then go to yOUr board. :p

I do... but I always go to the opposing team's message board to get a feel for the game

First off... great pick on your university experience

Second, totally understand wanting OSU to win. But, the way I look at this game is I am rooting for Ohio to win. Do I expect it? Nope. Will I feel horrible if they get blown out? Nope, cuz hey, the better team won.

Now, if Ohio wins... enjoy that experience. Don't rob yourself of being on the winning side of an amazing upset. How does that reconcile with your Ohio State fandom? If they can't beat Ohio, it wasn't your fault they screwed the pooch.

In the end... trust that the best team will win.

To live... maybe. But for the college experience it is hard to beat Athens. It is just an absolutely beautiful campus, great academics and a great party scene. Is it in the middle of nowhere? You bet, that's what makes it so special.

With that... I am outta here. Heading out of work to make my drive down for the game. Will check back on Sunday to see the carnage I am bound to miss between now and through the game.

Should be a closer game than the Marshall game. JT wont run it up and be passing in the 4th quarter vs another Ohio team. Not saying he was trying to run it up vs Marshall, we did that just by being in the game. He probably wont be passing into the 4th quarter much this week though. Depends on how Terrelle progresses in the short passing game early on. I dont see this being close at all. The defense has been stellar. As soon as the specail teams become more "special" its all over but the shouting.

Bucks win easily, 44-17.

This is true. However, with FredOU's linebacking corps depleted, I can see the second and third string rolling up a lot of yardage and points on those vanilla plays meant to run down the clock at the same time keeping the FredOU offense off the field and avoiding any garbage points against OUr third team D.

I'm sticking with 49-0. Fifty if JT goes for a late 2.

I can't remember what game it was or who ran it in, but I think it was 2 years ago, we had all the reserves in during garbage time, a RB breaks through the line and scores a TD. You can see Tressel throw his hands up because you knew he didn't want to score.
