I know you guys don't like to play in the past because of all of the recent successes in Columbus so I'll let you know the Eagleson Bill is obviously no longer legal and Ohio University is #1 in the state in research royalties (which means we invent stuff that makes money)

Listen Jeffrey, I know Gatorade......and you're no Gatorade!

First, The Ohio State University claims as many false Nobel Laureates as National Championships. (I'm not even counting the U game, it is what it is)

Please care to back that up with facts? Your education leave you incapable of doing so? OK, I'll do it for you.

William A. Fowler, 1983 Nobel laureate in Physics (B.S. 1933)
Paul Flory, 1974 Nobel laureate in Chemistry (Ph.D. 1934)

Add Kenneth Wilson and Paul Flory who are/were Ohio State faculty and the total score is actually The Ohio State University--4 Nobels; All of The Other State Universities Combined--1 Nobel.

Throw in current Chemistry professor (who's a member of both the American National Academy of Sciences and the British Royal Academy of Sciences while still making a point of teaching introductory chemistry each year) Malcolm Chisolm, who's been on the short list every year recently, and it very well might be 5-1 in the near future.

The point is Ohio is a tremendous school. I wouldn't go anywhere else given the chance. I mean wasn't it less than 30 years ago when you cholos were open enrollment?

Only because your school and the prep school in Oxford teamed up with the Gov at the time to force us to be. How's it feel being Miami of Ohio's sidekick in that maneuver since they used your support to screw over Ohio State but kept selective admissions for themselves leaving you just as screwed as Ohio State? We may have been hurt by Miami of Ohio's little (and ultimately unsuccessful) power play, but you were also hurt while playing the part of their loyal little bitch. No wonder that school has never been known for anything resembling dignity or self-respect.

Fast forward 28 years after that Governor left office and Ohio State became free to compete without its hands tied behind its back, one finds Ohio State is nearly as selective as Michigan while Ohio U is still virtually open admissions. What does that say about the inherent and relative quality of the two schools?

I'd love to stay and chat some more, but unlike you my morning does not consist of picking out which Dashiki I'm going to wear while playing hackey sack all afternoon.

He's been given plenty of time for those activities...

Unfounded accusations against our faculty are not tolerated

Dahmer please leave Miami University out of this debate. Yes Miami is a "public ivy" but so is tOSU. As far as opportunities go Ohio State has a vastly greater amount of opportunities. I may be a Miami alumnus. Maybe it's the fact that University is the only title we share (though I wish they would tack on the to seperate us from thug u). Most grads of MU know we are lil' brother. Put down the green kool-aid and hop on the reality train.

I have to admit....I find "academic smack" fascinating.

Kudos to ORD for being obsessed with the Fredo U's. Without him going around to every state school message board the week before OSU plays them and linking it here, we would have no idea that people on those message boards are fans of their team and respect their school. It is unreal that people on their own team/school message boards can be homers like that. I thank ORD for bringing this blinding homerism to our attention.

Not to speak for ORD, but the way I see it, he only calls out Fredo fans when they slight Ohio State.

I love ORD's input here.

I went to OU. I applied to OU, Miami, UC, and OSU. I got in all four and chose OU. I liked the small town atmosphere which eliminated UC and OSU. It came down to Miami and OU....I hate J. Crew so I picked OU.
