2026 OH OL Sam Greer (Verbal Offer)

I still need to watch the celebration, but man what an awesome recruiting tool that only one team in the nation gets to put on. In the NIL era I know we all think it is just about money, but kids still want to win titles and I think we'll see a lot of commitments that were strongly aided by the Natty. Greer is one that I think is or was really exploring the market, so an event like this could push us over the top.

There's at least 4 OSU OL caliber in OH, and the number could even be 5. Depending on how they perform at camps. Spots should be kept for Parks and Smith OOS, and this could be Frye's best class ever. And then there's the Portal as well that can pay dividends with another 2-3 players

Absolutely, we have to get some OOS OL but this cycle is a bit different in a sense with the obvious amount of OL talent in Ohio that is available. This year's OL is a testament to that philosophy. Siereveld, Montgomery and Tegra all stepped up in a big way as Ohio boys, with Jackson, Hinzman and Fryar as OOS guys that were excellent.

Greer is a must and compares very much to Montgomery at this stage. Great frame, mean, plenty of athleticism and will develop quickly imo. Can play guard or tackle, which as we have seen this year especially is very important.

Should be noted that there are already two portal xfers in tow, but past success with the portal is not an indication of future success, to quote any brokerage statements about stocks. tOSU lost a number of 'backups' to the portal, leaving some OL underclassmen to gain experience. Are there any words about the progression of these youngsters? Frye's stock as a coach HAS to have improved, given what the OL did during the year, and during the playoffs, would assume.

To early to know anything about the freshman class(RS or True) when the season just ended.
But I have faith in Frye, as the transfers he's been getting have gotten better. Outside of Cutler, his other Portal entries have all been home runs.

And to bring this back to Greer, Frye should be visiting him today along with another OH OL
